Chris Reeve would be a close second place, heck just about everyone on the list seem like great guys.

I was fortunate enough to have done that with CR.

We were at Bladeshow West and I was invited to sit at my friend Bob Lay's table who is a very good custom maker from Canada. Well, Chris Reeve's table was right behind Bob's table on the next aisle and we shared the same sitting area for the two tables. All of us talked and joked with each other all day.

Then, I started buying some beers for Bob, me, Chris and Chris' friend a couple hours before closing on Saturday evening. Then it just snow-balled from there.

We were having a blast buying as many beers for each as we could drink for a couple hours before closing time. All of us had such a great time talking and joking with each. Even the patrons were having fun.

It was the most fun I had ever had at a show.

I've been around knives and BF quite a while and am blessed with a Memory like an elephant.

There are a couple on the list (and certainly a couple mentioned) that make it a difficult choice. However, there is one that stands out to me, he has always been very active on the Forums, easily accessible - gives respect and earns the same from those that deal with him;

Sal Glesser

Not on the list, and not a knife maker, but someone I'd like to have had a chance to have a beer with, the late-great Vampire Gerbil.

I've met A. G. Russell, and Bob Dozier. Two great guys.

Daniel

Can I have a beer with each?

I voted other. I do not drink. However, when my dad, my brother and I go to Las Barilles Mexico. I make it a point to have a beer with my dad. My old boss told me that I better, or he would dock my pay. I considered my old boss almost like a dad. He is a great man full of wisdom. I had a beer with my dad back in 04. I will probably have my next beer in 10, with my dad, in Mexico at the palm frond bar at the hotel pool, with sashimi less than 3 hrs. out of the water.

Thanx, Dan Dorn for sayin' it....... Vampire Gerbil.

I'd like to treat a National Treasure to a frosty.... Mr. Fisk fits the bill.

Met Rob Simonich at the Eugene show once, big regrets I have for drivin' home that eve instead of hangin' for a couple of cold ones with the crew. Like to have that opportunity back.

Chai Guy, (rest his soul)..... PhilL........... Kit Carson.... Lotsa beer out there.

Apologies for these choices not bein' on your list, but they fit the question.

I'm sure some great stories would have come out of that. Still miss that guy around here.

From that list... I'd like to sit down over a few beers and talk knives with both Sal, and CJ Buck.

Having shared many more than just a few beers with the Boss Hog himself over the last few BLADE shows, I know how much fun drinkin' with Jerry Busse can be... So he gets my vote! Just don't let him use your Busse SHBA!! ;)

:D

Joey Heatherton in her prime.

Now, for a more serious answer, not to say that I wouldn't mind having a beer with Joey Heatherton. I think it'd be kind of fun just to have a drink with some of the fellow members around here. Seems like many of you carry some wisdom that only comes with time. Also, I'm kind of curious to see what Charlie Mike is like when he's drunk.

I'm in Fresno, PM me.

For sure! Sal Glesser, All the other folks, I would have loved to drink with, are passed on. Janis Joplin, John Lennon, and last but not least Hank Williams. :D

I have hoisted some with Jerry, I can attest he has my vote. Always one heck of a good time is to be had with him and his crew from the shop.

I voted Jeff Randall, because I'm used to him calling bull*hit on me routinely in his subforum, and would like to see what his facial expressions when he does that for real :D
