I've had a few interactions here with Sal, he's a very approachable person I could see myself enjoyin' a beer or a good Brandy with him.

Same could be said for Mr. Russell of AG Russell fame another person I'd like to even have a good cup of coffee with.

I'll get flak for it I'm sure, but I picked Mick Strider.

I know things are gray in that area, BUT the fine folks at Plaza Cutlery are good friends with the Strider crew, my interactions over the phone and in person with the Strider guys I've met has always been great and it was enjoyable to talk to them.

I voted Chad Los Banos. He has patiently emailed me back several times on several questions and we have gone back and forth in a few threads (on a few forums). Very approachable and down to earth (not that others on the list aren't). I just happen to have more experience in dealing with him and appreciate him taking time to emails. Besides, he lives in Hawaii, I'd have the beer "at his place".

Many great choices to choose from, Sal would be a close 2nd.

Ken Onion would be another I'd like to see on the list too.

A.G. Russell and Bob Dozier top my list... too many gentlemen making and selling fine knives right now to have a drink with them all. Just look at how many great guys have maker's forums here.

This is interesting. Sorry I left AG Russell and Ernie Emerson off the (admittedly subjective) list. I had originally thought to include Mr. Emerson but forgot. I was trying to list some of the highly-regarded and/or controversial "celebrities" in the knife world.

I figured Mr. Glesser would lead the poll and am ever so slightly surprised to see Mr. Busse at the top. I did think Mr. Thompson would poll higher -- he seems to have a number of fans here.
