Gday guys and girls.
My name is Gavin and I am from Australia.
I am new to the forum and would like to run something past you.

A bit over a month ago i ordered about $250 worth of stock from a US wholesaler, it turned out half the items that were listed as 'in stock' weren't there, so I modified the order, again half the stuff I ordered wasn't there, this went on for about a month, till I just said send what you have and leave me in credit. When I browse the website I still see knives that I was told were no longer available as in stock (this is a month later).
Hopefully the order has now shipped, but I have had no indication it has.
I have emailed the company owner asking what is going on but have not heard back from him yet.
I am getting a bit pissed off with the lack of communication and misleading stock levels.
Am I being unreasonable?
Cheers
Gav

I don't think being upset about something like that is wrong. I think customer service should be at the top of the list in a company. Along with quality ect.

Being pissed about that sounds perfectly reasonable to me. You might want to list the name of the vendor in the Good, Bad, and Ugly section.

Take this to the Good the Bad and Ugly people should know there name let me guess optics planet or botach tactical

In my opinion, you are not being unreasonable. I've seen this a few times and think it borders on the unethical. I've never dealt with wholesale businesses though. If a company is doing a lot of business they may occasionally get a day or so behind in updating their website. But they should give you an immediate update, an estimated delivery date, and the option to cancel the order if the schedule is not to your liking. If it is a small busy company, they may be having problems keeping their communications up to par also. This doesn't sound like what is happening with you though.

I would advise staying cool here and in your communications with the company (continue trying to have them respond). If they are a known knife related company and at some point you think you need to escalate the issue, you might contact a moderator here at Blade Forums and determine the best method and sub-forum in which to bring the public eye (Blade Forums) to bear on the situation (and company in question). In these matters, I think it's always best to stay free of inflammatory remarks and just stick with the facts. It seems that the folks at Blade Forums can and will give a lot of support in these situations as long as you keep your head on straight and information true. I don't think there is anything wrong with expressing your justified displeasure as long as it is just that and not mud slinging. I know what is "justified" is not always cut and dried. Mike

Thanks for the input.

At this point I do not want to name the wholesaler involved till I give the owner a chance to act, as he may be unaware of the situation. Should I get no response or a negative response I will happily name them.
Cheers
Gav
