Who's gotten their 5.1 Starter?

Thanks Ellie for taking the time to do this. I don't mind the wait but I am more concerned about getting the information to you once my address have changed. I will make sure I have the email subject in capital letters "ADDRESS CHANGED, URGENT!" when I send you the email in a few months time so please keep a look out for it. Big thanks!

Pj, you have it all wrong. If you really want Ellie to pay attention to your email it should look something like this:

***SUPER FUN CAT VIDEO WARNING SUPER CUTE***

:D

Thank you for your time, Ellie. Your evident efforts and transparency are exactly what has slowly made your company my favorite. (And I don't even have a blade of yours yet)

I can't believe the problems you have had with past employees. [emoji29] I feel for you.

One of them was my own fault. I was too desperate for help and just let the person loose without checking over the sent messages. Rather than handing it over completely, I should have taken the time to be more of a manager and provided more training. The lesson I learned there is part of why I am hesitant to hire someone to take over. I don't have the time to keep up now, I definitely don't have the time to keep up AND train someone. Once Christian is taking care of some other things we will revisit the idea.

The other employee was part of the mass hiring of 2013, under the previous business manager. During a lot of that time I was working full time and then coming to SURVIVE! to help out as much as possible.

Mike Rowe for all his silly TV antics has a pretty good line of social media posts along the vein of hard work and its value. Clearly I am not referencing this in respect to your current staff, but more to your point of "good help is hard to find". It is very easy to say you guys should hire help and whala problem solved, but the wrong person can EASILY make things worse, and most of us have worked with those "wrong ppl" before. Sometimes its lack of experience, sometimes general motivation, and sometimes it can just come down to passion. I think you guys are doing great, and understandably there will be growing pains. Im sure large knife manufacturers aren't able to make everyone happy either. I still remember when one well known brand started enforcing MAP pricing, and everyone suddenly decided their products weren't worth the "non-discounted" price, even though technically the price had not changed... lots of hate, for months... and most people got over it.

At any rate, keep your shoulders back and chin up, because those of us in the know, are proud to support you guys. Keep learning/growing/evolving and you will be just fine!

Could not agree more. Well said!

Just got my shipping notice, for my 5.1 sagewood gear sheath, would be great and strangely coincidental if they both shipped the same day.
