on a totally un related note:
So I got a 119 at a pawn shop this week. It's a 119- which is the year that 420hc came into play as per Joe's notes...so, should I just assume that this one is 420hc, or could some of the 1992 knives been of the 425m? Just curious because this one worked up quite a burr upon sharpening...
 
The thing about Buck knives is nothing happens on the first of the new year, It might have the 425M steel. You'll never know

No tests required, It's a 119 in great shape for a nice price and that's good enough for me ;)
