Who's Waiting On A Knife?

I've been eyeing AG Russell's Gent's Hunter for a long time now. I've always liked the blade shape, the 1/2 guard, the steel, the tapered tang:

I finally ordered one last week in ivory Rucarta. Arghhhh! 3 to 4 week backorder! I know that's not much of a wait (especially considering that it took me a couple of years to get around to ordering it), but I can't help feeling sorry for myself.

I ordered one similar to this from John Parks a couple of week ago. He is a Journeymansmith and part-time maker. He estimated about one year! I know that it is not unusual for some of the third degree knife knuts around here to wait that long but it sure will be a long wait for me.

Got a knife on order with Mooney Knives. Hot blued damascus blade, nickel silver guard and a ebony handle in a kind-of Skean Dhu pattern.

I'm ordering a Spyderfly tomorrow unless someone can point me to a good dealer not too far from Waco...I like to see the knife first...

I've got a Spyderco Perrin with an Allan Blade sheath on the way... maybe. :grumpy:

I won the eBay auction for it on the 4th, paid via PayPal, and I've yet to hear a peep from the seller. I've sent numerous messages to him, and the last one was a bit.... irked.

I'm waiting on a Strider Axe. Should be here tomorrow or the next day.

A Randall Model 1-8" (May 2006 delivery)
Randall Model 26 (August 2007 delivery)
And because I need instant gratification:
Chris Reeve Neil Roberts Warrior Knife I just bought today! ( delivery..any day now!)

I am always waiting on a knife. I figure if I have one on the way all the time, I can bite the big one unexpectedly. Dumb, but that's what superstitions are for right?

Dang this addiction to cutlery!

Waiting on a 910 StrykerHS, last time I send a money order.
The wait is just too much when in need of kit.

I'm waiting on this Mnandi with Camel Thorn Inlays from Plaza Cutlery. The man (or woman) in the brown truck should bring it on Wednesday.

Nice scales on a very well made knife. I always wondered why they don't make a larger Mnandi. Say a 3 1/2 blade.

Four knives at the moment:

Two from eBay sellers, an OldTimer and a Bruckmann.

I'm most anxiously awaiting a Bark River Tanto that I ordered on Friday, the turquois and amboynia towards the bottom: http://www.dlttradingcompany.com/products.asp?category=NEW!!!++BRK&T+Tanto's

And I'm on the list for a PackPal in bubinga wood from Allan Blade. http://www.bladecutlery.net/bladecutlery1_005.htm

Almost forgot, I just 'won' another eBay auction for another Bruckmann. So that makes 5 all together. When I present a package slip at the counter, the postal clerk doesn't ask my box number any more. :)

Like Halfneck, I am waiting on a Mike Mooney knife also, due later this year. I am also on Dellana's 5 year waiting list. Only 3 to go. I better start saving I guess.

I have a knife on order from Michael Connor. It was ordered in 2003 and will be delivered in 2008 if he meets his delivery estimate and both of us are still living.

Many of the custom knives I have purchased have taken from one to two years to get to me. I'm getting used to long waits.

Ahh, you must've won that nice peachseed handled Bruckmann. It looks like a beauty.
