Who's Waiting On A Knife?

ALWAYS waiting on a knife! Right now it is a Rick Hinderer Firetac Extreme with a bowie blade and a koa wood insert. Ought to be plenty nice!! :D :D :D

Waiting on one from Ivan Campos right now, about a 3 1/2" Spearpoint fixed blade. Shipped last Friday and I hope to have it within a week or so.

Waiting for one from Micheal Burch too...5" Recurve in the works. Micheal told me it would probably be 3 to 5 months, perhaps longer(I know he's busy these days!). The anticipation of this one is KILLING me...fortunately, the Campos kind of came around unexpectedly to take the "edge"(pun intended) off of waiting.

I have a TK-3 on order from Tom Krein, green canvas scales and aluminum rivets. Last I checked he had a 3 month waiting list, which means it should probably be ready at the end of the month or early August. It really doesn't bother me too much to wait, because it gives me time to get the money together and plus I enjoy the anticipation.

It should look like the bottom knife in this pic, which I think I harvested from Tom's website before it went down (can't wait for it to come back):

Ahh, you must've won that nice peachseed handled Bruckmann. It looks like a beauty.
I bought it more out of curiosity. I love Bruckmann knives, but have no idea what "imitation peachseed bone" is.

You folks waiting five years for a knife??? That's crazy...

Dang this addiction to cutlery!
Always waiting, always in search of the perfect knife, all the others only came close.

I have an Anza in the mail for this weeks fix. I'm still recovering from Blade.

Progunner had a fire sale !;)

I'm waiting on a nice big bowie from one of the local wonder boys here Matt Roberts. :p I think it is going to be a handful.

I’m waiting for a few knives: a Busse Mini EU-17, a Busse Satin Jack TAC, and a Chris Reeve Classic Sebenza with micarta inlay. I have no idea which one will get here first, and I hope one of them will get here soon.

I was wondering the same thing. It could be some plastic or wood. Or the seller may have meant "bone meant to imitate a peach pit". Either way it looks nice.

Right now I'm waiting on a nice solid bolster bone-handled Imperial jack knife.

A Hammer stockman with what looks like a celluloid handle. It has a fancy clip blade with a swedge and a long pull.

And finally another bone Imperial with 3 blades.

I went on a bidding spree as I tend to do now and then...

Just got Email from Maker of next knife."couple of weeks".Hate waiting like everybody else. He's good about turnaround and delivery.Still "couple of weeks" though.

I'll let you know. I suspect that it's bone jigged to look like peach seed. But Bruckmann did a lot of celluloid handles too. It sold a bit higher than other recent Bruckmann auctions, probably everyone else was curious too.

I have a low personal tolerance for waiting, so if I want to buy, I collect mostly factory made knives. However, as a total contradiction, I would expect a customer to wait 6months to a year for one of my custom-ordered knives !!! I am SOOOOO grateful that there are knife knuts out there ! :D You knifeknuts support us knifemakingknuts ... a perfect symbiotic relationship.

Seriously, The longest I've ever waited was not for a knife per se, but 2-1/2years for a big-name knifemaker to make me a billet of his damascus.

Did I hear that someone ordered a genuine Bob Loveless dropped hunter and took delivery of it 15years later... !!??? Is that an urban myth ? I suspect it could actually be true. Jason.

Peachseed is when the jigging on the material looks like the pitting on a peachseed. The imitation part is rather self explanatory.

The handle on the pictured knife below is an example of peachseed jigging.

I'm waiting for a bunch of Spydercos

Szabofly
Smallfly
Swick

And I'm hoping they announce a H1 hawkbill. Get dem gears a-rollin', Spyderco! :p

I'm also hoping Benchmade rereleases all their discontinued balisongs. 43, 47, 31, etc. When a knife that originally sold for $115 a year ago goes for $255 on ebay, you can assume there's demand. ;)

Julian, great looking knife! ItI hope you post a picture of that white handle after cleaning/gutting your first deer! Heh heh!

I have a knife very similar in design (attached photo). It is very easy to handle with a nice guard. I leave the sheath at home and use a kydex sheath which won't get scratched.
