Why are kershaw knives so awesome?

Well I dunno what Spyderco has to do with a thread about Kershaw's knives but it has been a long day , maybe I missed something....

Kershaw is awesome because -

They have great designers that design great knives.

They have great knives that can easily fit into any budget ( case in point Kershaw Chill at a hair over $20 is such a bitchin' knife....)

I have yet to buy a Kershaw that was not ready to go out of the box , meaning razor sharp , no loose screws , no mars , scratches , dings , play or other silliness associated with crappy QC.

Their knives are unique in that they dont readily resemble every other knife out there.

They choose quality materials for their knives , even the Chinese Kershaws are fantastic quality.

As mentioned previously , you get a lot of knife for your dollar - What other knife company has several screamingly delicious knives for under $100 ??

I can go on but the point is made , Kershaw rocks , period - end of story :)

Tostig - Kershaw fan for life.

Whatever you do, stay away from the 1820 Needs Work - and especially the JYDII, like the 1725CB with it's D2 blade edge - or the 1725SG2 with that Ti framelock handle and SG-2 blade. If you get one of those, your view on other brands will forever be jaded! Talk about quality and value, what a high bar they set - even that basic Sandvik 14C28N Wharncliffe-like bladed 1820 Needs Work. That 1725SG2 is a real bargain as a 'Blemish' from our 'Kershawguy' here, while he still has them.

I have to admit to having bought more Kershaws when their so-named sub-forum was still operable here - it really helped keep us informed. Sigh. I did find the Benchmade Forum - elsewhere - and bought too many of them in the last year - see, the forum really helps. My main source of Kershaw info is this forum now - or a trip to wallyworld. A bigger sigh.

In all seriousness, if you don't have a Blur, Needs Work, JYDII, etc, you owe it to yourself to try one - fantastic! And - made in the USA! (Okay, I have one import of Kershaws - the 1993-2 Gentleman's Folder in VG-10 & micarta - Japaneese perfection!).

I actually have a kershaw from china, the kershaw tone! extremely high quality and hard to find. Can't even find info about it on google. Only academy sells it.

Kershaw is just awesome! end of story! they just make amazing knives. I love my Blur! its so much fun and i love how sharp it is! Their warranty is amazing as well, i just got it back because my torsion bar snapped and they sharpened it and tightened my pocket clip for me too! They oiled it up and the edge looks flawless! Ken Onion is an amazing designer as well i would love to meet him in person.
