I carry a flashlight anytime that I am working around an engine, building or enclosed space. A bright light (200+ lumens) is handy when you need to do some work and sometimes judt read a label. At night, 20 lumens will work. It can be a small light and I have one at all times. It's a small price to pay when I have so much gear to tote anyway. A $300 light isn't required but some features and materials aren't available at low price points.
