Why did i buy it? Regret thread

I've only got one of "those" right now. An RMJ Choppa that I bought off the Exchange and where you may see it again shortly.

It was priced fairly and there's nothing wrong w/it but I am still asking myself: "What were you thinking?" LOL! ;)

CRKT CEO - absolute horrible design. I have opened my hand up three times with that blade, its cursed. Well not even the blade, the CF scale isnt flush on the handle and it sliced my palm deeper than the blade.

Two for me. The first was a CRKT 'Stiff K.I.S.S.' - really should have listened to my dad at the time. Did not get on with the chisel grind, it was tiny and it put me off the whole 'skeleton tang and paracord' grift.

Next up is the Muela bowie - tiny, uneven grinds and the metal handle was pretty awful in terms of fit and finish. The sheath was rubbish and the steel did not hold an edge.

I bought and resold an Artisan Cutlery folding cleaver. It weighed about 3 pounds and it turns out a folding cleaver is useless.

And I bought a few CRKTs. All junk.

Then there was a fairly expensive emerson that didn’t impress.

The only ones I truly regret are the Emersons. What I really regret is that I bought about 15 of them trying to figure out why some people love them so much. It should have been a one and done purchase. The first one told me everything I needed to know: some folks have really bad tastes.

I really don't count the very early purchases made before hanging around in BF. Fortunately, there were not too many. I'd say my most regretted purchases were two different "porch" annual traditional knives. I won't tell which years they were so as not to ruffle feathers. Both were very poorly made, and something I was surprised a company would sell to a bunch knife knerds. In fact, they were the quality one would expect to avoid through such an avenue of purchase. Relax, neither was a GEC.

One more confession. Thanks to BF, I regret buying too many knives. Oh, woe is me.

I found one of those before, cleaning up an old homeless camp area in Boston, it was brand new, along with a little $10 flashlight too. Stolen I assume, and not even worth it for free LMAO

I was given a Gerber Paraframe. It broke after 2 weeks. I don't really regret any purchases, because I have learned from the bad ones.
It didn't take even 16 year old me long to figure out that it wasn't worth it.
