Why do I need a battle axe?

OK, I don't get it.
I've been drawing up some idea for a custom axe I want made, went through many revisions and such. When I finally come up with the next one I'd like, I find a nearly identical one on the web.

It's a short Viking axe made by Paul Chen for CAS Hanwei.

I still don't know why I want it so bad. I mean yes, there's my Norse heritage, but I haven't seen many good villages to raid lately or anything.

But. . .

We all have things we don't really need per se... but so what? They give us enjoyment ;-)

Take up LARPing?

I say buy it, even if just owning it brings you pleasure that is reason enough.

I had to chop wood to stay warm...now that I pay a bill to stay warm. Even if I have no money I still have an axe to keep things warm, it's just a Gransfors 2-lugged now :D

I've seen plenty of villages I'd like to pillage but that sort of thing is frowned on by the authorities.

Because it looks good, is supposed to be of reasonable quality and mostly 'cause it will add another piece to your edgeware collection. ;)

Well do ya have one?
Well... NO

Did the Viking have an England?

Well, .. .. No, not till they got one.

And you secretly long for some dumb*ass burglar to come into your house so you can just get one good swing in and try to knock it out of the park,,,or living room.

I've got one: the edge doesn't hold up well to a little wood chopping. Would be fine for splitting skulls.

'makes perfect sense to this vector!:thumbup:

....every day that passes without battle makes battle more likely the next day....

Cpl can you give specs on the one you want.I love axes also must be the Sioux in me!

Mike

3 3/4" edge, 25 1/2" long, 2lb 6oz, .32" thick.

Really? Damn. What happened to the edge? Is it too soft and rolls, too hard and chips, or just a little too soft and dulls quickly?

The battle axe I have in mind is when the new CS Spike Hawk comes out and I re-haft it with a proper 30" handle.
