Why do Knife makers sell their knives for more than 3rd party distributers?

So I've bought several brand new knives on Amazon now and I've noticed that just about every one of them in most cases are half price of what the same knife sells for brand new on the knife makers own website. Why is that?

MSRP as opposed to the lower street prices perhaps?

Because it's smart to value your time, material, and whatnot put into a knife. The big river site is not quite as rife with fake sellers as the evil bay, good luck with that knife.

What im referring to for example let's use Kershaw for example, when you go to their website you can pay $120 for something you could buy brand new on Amazon for 60 or 70 and let's assume that it's 100% real and not fake, my question then is if you're getting the same exact product from a reputable seller like Amazon which has the best return policy in the business, then why are the prices so much higher on the knife makers website?

Sorry, 'what are referring to' deserves nothing. I'm not obligated to your foreign brand. Articulate your argument please.

Because, the knife companies aren't going to compete with the distributors that buy their knives in bulk for resell. If the companies sold the knives for the same price, then no distributors buying in bulk would place orders for knives they would be selling for the same price the manufacturer. I suppose the companies would rather sell knives in numbers, than to parcel them out one at a time.

Is that a real question? It's because Amazon sucks ass, no custom maker worth a damn sells there. They will counterfeit anyone and everyone at the drop of a hat.

Do you make knives? Do you have a link where I can see your knives and pricing?

I do, and no, I wouldn't sell a piece of pig iron to you.

I would not want your trashy knives. Kershaw likely makes a much better knife than you....

HAHAH
