Well if some of the people on here would focus on the reason this forum exists and not on punctuation and grammar then people wouldn't get pissed wen they ask a ? and some jackass insults them because they feel inadequate in whatever way who Know's but it really shows who the "13" year old's are yes English is a second language to some and some are just uneducated but that's no reason to act like some punk ass bullie that needs to get slapped so if u don't have anything to contribute then keep your damn mouth shut now on to the op I don't think it's stupid to like just one maker like others have stated if one maker keeps u satisfied then y go anywhere else but for me I will buy from any reputable maker if they make something I like very simple
Yeah, but seriously and no offense intended, if you cannot convey your point in a legible and easily understandable way then there's not really much point in trying to discuss anything. Bottom line is that whether or not you cannot express yourself that great, lashing out and verbally attacking people isn't going to be a productive approach to solving that problem. You would have been much better off if you had said, "Sorry, my writing skills are not the greatest," and left it at that. Granted I think ridiculing others for their perceived language skills isn't exactly progressive either, it ultimately boils down to the "Two wrongs don't make a right," mentality. You should have taken the high road and just reiterated your point with more elaboration versus getting upset.
Anyway, I'm not exactly a brand loyalist, but I like to return to a specific manufacturer if I like their quality and feel that I can trust them. There's a lot of choices and most of them are a very willfull investment, so in many cases it's just easier to me to think, "Well, just buy a Benchmade," than to consider, "Well, does Kershaw have the same warranty? How is their quality control? Do I like their locks?"
I mean, I'll put it this way... I happen to like McDonalds, but I only like one McDonalds in town. The rest of them make the burgers way too greasy. So technically even though it's the same food, I still go to this one McDonalds because I've come to expect more preferable service, and if for example I'm in a totally different town and I see a McDonalds, I might decide to just hold on to my money thinking, "Well, they might not make it as well as my McDonalds".
I know it sounds weird to make that comparison since McDonald's is just one particular brand of fast food versus many others and it would be more succint to compare Burger King to McDonalds when comparing one knife manufacturer to another, but I'm mainly just emphasizing that whole "trust" and "expectancy" thing.
