Mornin' gentlemen. Dang, trade leaves the roost for a few days, and no one wakes up around here. Derek, you're slipping already!

Fear not Guyon. Im up. and at work. :grumpy: Was off all last week myself. back today and realized just how much I hate my job.

Christine and I are talking about moving away from Toronto. Tough conversation. We love that we live right in the downtown core - very vibrant, no need to drive, lots of urban things to do. Unfortunately, it's harder to pursue outdoor activities - especially climbing.

Interesting times ahead.

Hey Todd!

You had a good time during your week off?

Yeah. had a real good time. 9 days off and I think I slept in my bed twice. Someplace different every night. me the wife and the kids. we took in a lot of stuff. Plus, long story short. Things have been "difficult" to put it mildly with my wifes father for the last 10 years. I used to spend every weekend with him before my kids where born. Some bad sh!t transpired years ago and the family kinda got tore apart. It didnt have anything to do with my wife and I, but we all missed out on each others lives for about 10 years. We actually spent a couple of days with him and it was great. We are very optimistic that we will be able to rebuild the bond we all had. I never realized how much I missed the area where he lives. Its in the least populated area of the state and people live a lot different there. I went back and visited other friends I had there too and came home with a whole car load of fresh fruits and homegrown vegatables. I think my boy and I are gonna go back and hunt the woods I used to run around in so much when I was younger. I have about 400 acres of hunting rights there. God I miss that place.

Sounds brilliant Todd. Especially nice to hear that you're rebuilding that connection with your wife's dad. Family dynamics are always complex...

Sorry, I've been chatting with Robby from E2E all morning. I'm distracted.

Not a man crush, just a cool guy that knows a lot. He's been telling me about some of the misconceptions about fire starting techniques used back in the day that are pretty amazing.

Guyon, that is a heck of a nice looking pistol. Got any info on it?

The LC9 is a great little gun. I have a thing for ruger. When Springfield is out of reach Ruger is the way to go IMO. Me and a buddy was shooting his when he first got it and it was an excellent little shooter. then he went and put a laser site on the finger guard of his, Using that laser we coudnt hit a beer can to save our life lmao took it off and it was back to plinking cans off the log :)
