Why I have decided to join the John McCain team

I may be coming around on this one. The idealist in me says not to vote for Senator McCain. I have said as much in the past few months. lately, the pragmatist in me says that any mitigation or moderation of the troubles i see coming is worth a shot, given the alternatives. When i think there is still some hope for keeping things together, I don't want to vote for a compromised candidate, in order to teach them a lesson. When i think that things are pretty much headed down hill no matter what, I then think voting for the lesser of two evils is a good strategy. Any breathing space is welcome.

How I vote will depend on how i feel about the nation's prospects.
