So if my Google search was accurate, that's ceramic stones you use?Sharpmaker
Sharpmaker = ceramic rods right?I have a CRK in S45VN & it sharpens easily on my Sharpmaker. Maybe a little bit more time than the S35VN CRKs, but easier than my knives in M390.
The fine and ultra fine are ceramic, I'm not sure what the medium stones are made of. Diamond stones are available too for the heavy lifting.Sharpmaker = ceramic rods right?
Ceramic, cbn, and diamond rods are available for the Sharpmaker. I have the ultra fine, fine, medium, and cbn rods and they all work great for me.Sharpmaker = ceramic rods right?
And are these ceramic or diamond? I just bought my first S35VN blade and I'm wondering if it will sharpen on the ceramic rods I've stashed everywhere. Obviously I can just test and find out... but this thing hasn't gotten dull yet.I have the ultra fine, fine, medium
Right. I just use the ones that came with the set, medium & fine.Sharpmaker = ceramic rods right?
Joe X recently stress tested a Cold Steel 5 max with S35VN. It preformed terribly. I'd rather have 8cr13mov on my Espada xl than S35VN. If I were to hit metal with it I fear the whole blade would break.
