why is the bk4 so angle-ey? and do i really need a 9?

I waited long enough on the BK-11 mod and YOU did it. Saved me a lot of work. :D
Currently I have not a 4 and have not a 9. Hrm.
I'd love a 4 as a hunting pack accessory for clearing crud from my sit-spots. Unfortunately it's illegal where I live... though I think on private land it would be ok.
So... anyway, want. want to do. yes.

That's freakin' cool; but looks like you'd be giving it a larger Hank; a Hank Sr. if you will...
 
Dammit, daizee....now you got me looking at that and thinking "well, I have a BK4...and I really like the looks of that...". So tell me one thing: who did the rendering? If it was you, maybe send me the file? I'm gonna go back and see if I can download it, then maybe we should talk. I'd be willing to take a chance with my 4 in the name of science.
 
I no longer say "anything for science", but in this case...
Yeah, I did that mod on the image. Note that the bk4 in the pic is not entirely square to the camera (see lanyard hole), so YMMV.

So, can you put your knife "under the knife"? Cuz thanks to Mr. Smartypants here, that's where my 4 is going. Hank Sr. it'll be. And it's not that you're getting me to do this for you, I just like that idea and it doesn't sound as id you'll be doing this yourself...tease. This means, of course, that I'll be expecting to see you at the Northeast Gathering or at perhaps at the cabin in May? I may need some guidance; my guess is you were working off a stock photo (probably) and don't actually possess a Machax of your own so...I'm gonna have to make the drawings myself. I think this'll be fun.
 
Ok, I have a hard enough time finding work for my "working Beckers" as it is, (SoCal is such a jungle) but I think I need to hire Hank Jr. now also.

Oh indeed, Hank Sr. started as a stock photo.
Is there a Northeast Gathering scheduled??

I'd like to possess a Machax specifically to seniorize Hank, so you are correct: no Machax in the local inventory.

^This. it works like a knife way larger than it is. The 9 is a little easier to learn, because its design is more familiar. but, once you sling a Machax; you figure out what it's for.

next thought: hmmmm..... to hank or not to hank, that is the Question...

could call the hankless a "dean" in honor of one of my favorite latenight cartoons.

Yea, the Machax is like a curved BK6 Patrol Machete almost.... And it is at the top of my Becker want list.

that is very interesting. I haven't seen too many BK4 mods. The most memorable for me is cbwoods flattend (ffg "ish" if you will) hand filed 4.
 
I got my Bk4 out and chopped up some stuff tonight. Hank was having fun.
