Why m4?

Sorry I don’t know what happened to my title. It is M4. I have been babying this thing since I got it. I wipe it and oil it almost daily.

NOTHING seems to work on it.

My GB1 that I was using for work every day, rain or shine, West Coast of FL

M4 is a great steel, absolutely love it ! As many mentioned - little bit of Flitz, maybe fine steel wool and it’s good to go.
l never oiled any of my blades, never. Check what you’re using for oil, those rusty spots look to me mostly like some micro particles on top of the blade than actual rust but I could be mistaking.

Same blade after l cleaned it u, it doesn’t take much to keep it clean, it’s a hard steel but not much hard to maintain it in good condition.
