Just wondering why Busse doesn't make any folders. Is it cause honoring the warranty for folders would be a total nightmare, dont have the right equipment, or what? I'd really like to see a Busse folder, even if the warranty would have to change a lil for them. Anybody else?

already got one ...................................kind of :)

When Jerry finally releases a "Busse" folder the Heavens will Open Rays of Sunshine will Brighten the skies and the Angels will sing with joy....and I will be all over it like a Fat Kid On Cake!!!!

Alot of people ask for this but I don't see the point Busse is focused on making the strongest and most functional fixed blades. Why would they try to make a folder when there is plenty of companies that specialize in making quality folders. Also I think you are right that the warranty issue might be a big part of their reluctance.
I personally don't like folding knives and only have one a ZT 452 20170630_102504-540x540.jpg
which is an awesome knife but limited in its versatility as anything but a cutting tool as are most folders. I always carry a fixed blade and dont think there is anything my Zt can do that my fixed blades can't.
That said I can see from a collectors perspective a Busse folder would be cool.

I'd bet $ that if Busse released another folder, youd be in.:D
Doing a collaboration with ZT would be sweet. But get there are people that only use fixed, but I'd love if Busse would make a TI version of something like the Benchmade Adamas.

I showed a younger guy here at work all my Busse's so far and his one comment is- Man, if he ever makes a folder it will be awesome - Maybe it's because I'm older, but a folding knife doesn't enter my thoughts when I look at these. Coming up as kids hunting all us guys thought about was a Buck 119- No one wanted a folding knife, not enough beef, locks were crude and a bitch to clean up with guts and bile getting into pockets and grooves- Maybe it's a generational thing, idk. So I'll say this, when you figure out how to fold a 7" blade into something I can put in my pocket which I know will chop through a leg bone I'll listen.
I wonder, if Busse was all folding, how many would be wishing for a fixed blade? ... I've looked at a lot of these fancy folders with similar prices and higher, I just don't feel it, but a big fat piece of polished steel that can shave the skin off a t'mater? ... hell yea!

I'm in for one!!! I bought a culti to try edc but just not as practical as my Pm2 m4. Takes a second to throw in my pocket and away I go. If they make something similar in size I would happily make the switch

The smart way to make folders for Busse would be to do a collaboration. Why not do a collaboration with companies that have the tooling experience and know how such as Spyderco, ZT, Emerson, Microtech? Just have Busse make and send the blades over.

On 2nd thoughts why would Busse want to do that? I mean from a business standpoint why waste INFI or 101 by sending it over to a collaboration and have to share profits? Especially when they can just water or laser cut fixed blades and make hundreds of dollars per unit. Even if they made folders in house its going to be a longer manufacturing & assembly process with several parts that need to function and work in unison perfectly. It all comes down to time is money and practical business.

Truth is there were a handful made some years back that were sold at Blade to a handful of select HOGS. The stipulation was that they were to never be photographed or sold on the open market.

Actually there was a NEW Prototype at Blade last year I believe that a few people had the opportunity to look at and hold. but the lock work was still under development IIRC.

A very wise man once said at Blade show while looking at the newly released active duty in one of my pocket sheaths.

"that right there is the fastest opening, strongest lock folder out there"

Any guesses who it was ? :)
