Why should I buy one?

That is a SARSquatch. They are 3/16 stock, and very popular users. They aren't really rare, but there's not a whole of them either. Definitely worth a try if you can find one. I wish I'd kept mine. I sold off piles and piles, and still have piles of keepers left, but the only ones I ever felt like I shouldn't have sold were a CGFBM, that SARQ, and a skinny ASH1. Can't have them all, but you can have them all for a little while :D

Also, you can't see it very good in the picture, but they all have a swedge.

Ohhhhhh I like, thanks. Guess I need to save for a TGLB and a Sarsquatch now!

So after a lot of thinking I think I want to go with the Rodent-7. As much as I like the design of the TGLB the handle on the Rodent-7 looks like it would work very well for me and while the price tag is still technically over my "price limit" but the price is still less than the TGLB so I will probably be ordering the 7 next month. Although I am notorious for changing my mind on this kind of thing so nothing in stone yet but the important question is, Can you talk me OUT of it?

TheDandyLion, I understand how nerve wracking the idea of spending that much money on a blade is. I ordered my TGLB a few weeks ago after literally months of thinking about it. As soon as I placed the order I kind of freaked out a bit, only because I have never spent more than $160 on a knife before. But the worry gets better with each day that passes and with every pic I see of one. :) so if you really want it, either save up or just do it, I don't think you will regret it when you get it, at least that's what I've been told. Still waiting patiently for mine too!

I'll answer you question with a question - Why shouldn't you buy one?

Seriously, spend $200 on a knife that may fail under hard use, or spend $400 on a knife that will never fail under hard use, therefore never having the need spend $$$ on another knife.

BUT, one taste of INFI....

EDIT - just saw your post about the Rodent 7. Awesome choice. Busse's SR101 is amazing and will handle anything your throw at it.

I thank all of you for your convincing me into making a decision, I am getting and swamprat.
Right on, its a great knife from all accounts I have heard! It should serve you very well! Spending 400+ on a Busse isn't for anyone, regardless of what people will tell you.

I can see your reservations on getting a knife like the TGLB. Its a big step! Im currently working on making that step soon , we'll see how it goes. If you want a Busse later on you can always sell the R7 and you'll be almost halfway there depending on the prices and what not.

Post pics when you get it! I love me some SR-101 goodness!

2 TGLB'S

Blades are measured from the tip to the handle, not cutting edge.

Well I did some looking and the only comparable blade from Swamp Rat or Scrapyard is the Rodent-7 but it has a bit too short of a blade for me with that choil so it sounds like a strange question but how is the blade measured? Tip-handles or cutting edge?

Thats exactly what I was thinking! And I May work myself up to a TGLB in the next 1-2 years but there seems to be a pretty good market for used swamprats right now and most likely for a good long while.
I would also like to thank everyone who has commented on this thread for helping/convincing me to my final decision. And when it arrive I will be sure to take pics, Although it most likely not not on this thread but an entirely new one so keep your eyes out if you are interested!
