Ok I did something stupid more out of ignorance for the forum rules then out of any interest in what that site does or promotes. I apologize for my mistake.

On the shaving site I am on people often post links to fakes and other questionable items so we can all have a laugh and also see what is out there so we can better spot the crap.
I like knives but i don't have the knowledge to spot a fake if i were to see one on thief bay or anywhere else for that matter so perhaps other new guys would benefit from a thread showing the fakes.

The idea that there was a knee jerk reaction instead of intelligent discussion is rather unexpected as it would seem to follow that such sites are a direct line to the makers of knock off knives therefor a direct link for the real makers to send a cease and desist request through a local ipr lawyer since the PRC is becoming more invested in following up on this line also perhaps it would be time for a few of the more copied makers to take back the power of their copyrighted and trademarked name, as unless the name or brand is registered in china any product really is open to trademark and copyright infringement.

Hmm having said that most razors people are interested in are at least 35 to 100 years old and hard to copy.

What I don't expect is over zealous nipples to send their hate mail to my personal email , I would think that if some one has something to say Do so in a public manner , I will.

Yes ~~ you are just a few Marlbles shy of a full bag posting something like that on a good site ~~ myself I think they ought to "ban you" for life ~~ don't bother with an answer as I have you blocked ""I block all stupid people"" and you are at the top of the list.!

If I make a mistake I expect to learn from it not to be called stupid.
I wonder if you have any children or friends, and if you do every time they made mistakes did you tell them they were stupid? Or perhaps they should have never been born or other ignorant backwoods drivel ?
Think before you speak or write.

Peace

Shayne.

Shayne, STFU already. Stop doing stupid stuff, whatever it was that you did, and people will stop sending you shiite mail - we all make mistakes; stop bringing it up and people will likely soon forget. Grow a pair, stop acting like a little butt-hurt kid and all will be fine. p.s. STFU already, your whining is just plain annoying,,

Man oh man you lot have some thin skin or else lack some basic manners. Is this what the states has become or is it just the net that allows people to be rude?
Sayin things like that sounds like you lack basic education buddy.

Sending you that e-mail was out of order IMO, reagrdless of what lead to it.

Only smart people use quadruple quotations when telling you what they ""do"" with stupid people. ;)

Obviously, if you're posting something like that, it's probably because you aren't aware that you're not supposed to. I posted a link to a fleabay auction once and the other people replied and politely told me that it wasn't allowed, the way polite, intelligent and considerate people handle a situation like that.

Not only was it pointless and petty to send a message like that(to someone you've never met), blocking you so you can't respond makes me think this person is somewhat insecure, somewhat childish and probably not a deep thinker.

Don't send them a Christmas card next year.

Arfropubes (if that is your real name...), this site doesn't allow linking to dealers unless they're supporting members of this site, even if they're highly respected and reputable. There are many dealers that are OK to link to, because they support (read: pay money to) this site. Linking to non-supporting dealers isn't really "bad", but since they don't support BFC, it's unfair to those that do support to give the others free advertising. Comparing BFC to other sites is pointless and irrelevant, as much as claiming "but in the US lots of us eat pork" when visiting Israel. I understand your intentions completely, but that's just not the way things are done here.

You would know this if you spent the time to read the rules.

I'm not saying that the email you received, or Melvin-Purvis' response wasn't a bit over-the-top, but you have to understand that a) you broke the rules of BFC, and that b) there are many people here that absolutely despise knockoff, ripoff, counterfeiters like you linked to. Myself included. You have to realize that linking to them, even if only to point out that they're thieves and not to be trusted, is doing them a favor (by giving them exposure), and not really doing anything to work against them (people who would buy such knives are dirtbags that don't care anyway, and now you've given them a link - and there's more than I care for of those types here).

Folks, let's all just simmer down a little. No blood was spilled and I think the important points have been made on both sides of this issue. If a lesson was learned, all the better.

Perhaps we can move on without any more mudslinging.
