Why won't my knife sell?

your knife did not sell right away because it was not an infidu...
if it was, I would have bought it :D

Personally, I started buying busse blades to see which ones I liked, and sold the ones I liked less to fund new models. As I bought and sold, I lost a BUNCH of money. Most likely less than I'd think, but still. A bunch.

My take? It just makes the ones that are keepers THAT MUCH MORE valuable to me. If I don't end up using it, my kids will. I believe only a fool would pay me what my keepers are worth to me. Just saying.

Since I now know what I like, I can be more picky once I have funds. THAT also is something to consider.

Agreed, once you see blades in person it allows you to buy and sell your way to your grail knife. It also makes selling at a loss ok since beating a new Busse blade will best that pain.

Politics now fully understood and agreed upon by all and done with forever, will someone please make a new thread on why some people (or maybe it's Chinese hackers?) hide bladeforum knife sale prices lol :D

Aren't you the guy that won a $1000 in shop cred last year?;) Would have to think that helped quite a bit keeping you out of the red, I think many of your blades to lose their value cause your CONSTANTLY MODDING THEM.;)

AALB has never been a good seller, from what I've seen, expensive and not very useable/comfortable, can honestly say I will never buy one, that and the fact the AA came out not to long ago and people were selling them for peanuts cause they recieved them in mystery bags didn't help with you selling your AALB, I'd much rather have the AA over AALB. And honestly don't even want an AA, much.

Already plenty of those threads, do a search. ;)

Ya, why won't my knife sell either LOL!? It's a popular model, and posted lower than I've seen it sell for here... I've been patient, and am not in a hurry, but seeing how OP'S knife sold (again) right after making this post, I thought that perhaps inquiring here might help my sale plight as well!:D

I can't figure out why your Ash hasn't sold yet either, but it will. Beautiful knife and it's priced fairly. .25, full flat grind, hand smoothed....someone will eventually jump on it. I have talked myself out of it several times now

Since, I quoted your post you now have Keks Blessing in my thread and should have a sell shortly... (LOL)!!

I'd buy it I just don't have the funds right now. I was eyeballing it last time it was for sale too.

Tactical collectibles are also not as useful as a chopper for example. The latest in fixed blade calls for 3v heat treated perfectly seems like the soup du hour as well. Can be had for under $300.

Well that's reassuring guys, and thanks for your blessing sand! The ASH is my wife's favorite- she loves the frosted double-cut style! :pig:

Your knife is a classic in many respects as jbs121s mentioned ".25, full flat grind, hand smoothed" and I'll add custom shop and neutral colors to that list. Now I'm talking myself into it (again).

Being such, I doubt your knife requires as much of a discount (% wise) as the op did to sell quickly and it is priced fairly to sell eventually.

Free publicity always helps too ;)

I'll check it out. In seriousness, seems like it would be an interesting debate!

It wasn't. Most pretty much agreed that it would be nice to go back to not editing out prices... Nothing changed. ;)

I have stopped deleting out prices on stuff I sell. It may be for less at the time of sale based on an agreement, but I don't take off the final price at the time of sale anymore

I have not sold anywhere close to the volume of some of our members, but I found myself also replacing the price with "sold" or "spf." In the future I am not going to b/c I think it is good for reference or to establish a benchmark. When I was brand new, the Exchange was where I learned a lot about Busse: what the models are, what the acronyms stand for, what I like and most importantly how much they cost. I find the pricing, when left in place, to be immensely helpful in aiding me to price my own stuff or in deciding what to save up for.
