I have put "unknown" in the title, because if not, it will be all mora, opinel, swiss army, buck.
Not talkimg about what we all know, but of the ones the general consensus have in your opinion overlooked.

I have discovered one recently, and begin to wander "maybe there are others, I sbould ask".

Mine is boker arbolito 516, also called Pal 2.
4 inches blade drop point 440c black kraton handle, rat tail.
Very light, classic bushcraft pattern, great edge from factory (shaving), nice black leather classic sheath, $300 in Argentina, about USD35.
It's a great beater, and a real edc that you can easily conceal carry. It's so simple, so no nonsense...I love it.

I own a fox knives hunter folding blade with the same utility. Green micarta handles, black n690co blade, liner lock plus LAWKS, great sheath, much more expensive. Also a heavy brick, and slow and stiff to open via thumb studs. It doesn't gets carried. The cheap boker now is part of my edc system.

Any other suggestions in the same line?

CRKT Shenanigan PPS and Spyderco Tenacious. I purchased each one, new, for under $30 and they were both razor sharp out-of-the-box. For inexpensive knives, I found each of them to be a great value blade.

The best results I've ever got from an 'inexpensive knife' was an Opinel. I love Opinels ad the way they cut.

Soooo crkt seems to be a great value brand...I believe the shenanigan has a nutnfancy review. Will look into it.
The featherlite has a plastic wave?

Kershaw Tremor, <$30.00, great knife priced right. A little on the big side, but I find that it carries well.

I once bought a S&W Extreme Ops black knife from Big 5 for $12. While not a great knife for anything resembling heavy duty use, it's a way better knife than I would have expected what with all the criticism these knives get. Still, I never carry it.

I use a couple different pattern CRKT knives, one is the M16 with plain blade. I don't remember the I.D. of the other one. They are a pretty good value if you don't pay full retail. I wait until Big 5 puts them on sale then buy. The M16 is great for deburring the inside of 1/2" and 3/4" copper pipe.

Ontario Rat 2/AUS 8 and Spyderco Ambitious/8Cr13MoV folders $27 and $29 respectively and a SOG NW Ranger fixed blade/AUS 8 @ $54...all high value for the $$.

The Zytel CRKT Ripple in 8CR13MOV, impressed me a great deal, and I've been impressed a great deal by friend's CRKT Drifters, particularly the frame locks.

I picked up a Kershaw Tremor in a lot purchase. It is not really my style and I probably never would have bought one but after using it I was surprised with it's edge retention and ergos. Kershaw must have nailed the heat treat on this one because I have never had a 8cr13mov blade hold a edge like this one.Under 20 bucks if you look a little.
