Wife says get knife! Need suggestions!

Appreciate all the suggestions. I’m going to go with the Mora and rinse it after my outings and see how it does. I have a regular Mora in stainless that I bring surf fishing to cut bait and it has shown some rust. Not much. I don’t rinse it, though. For $30 i think this blunt tip serrated is worth a try. This knife will be fully submerged in salt water often. Interested to see how it holds up.

It will serve you just fine, good choice 👍

I wish they’d make this style in one of the steels like H2, magnacut, etc.
I have come to the conclusion that people who really USE knives in a production environment, usually opt for cheap, easy to replace knives... If one gest snaped i half or blunt or bent or goes overboard... they just replace it with a new one and don't cry much. This alone rules out expensive super steels.

Besides, the only ones that care about the steel itself, the composition, edge retention, etc... are us, knife nuts. The mayority of people useing knives, don't care.

Arround water, the chances of loosing one to the depths is real. That's probably the main reason I haven't used yet the Spyderco Fishhunter I bought for spearfishing. Well.. THAT and the fact that the stock sheath is not suitable for strapping it to my calf, so I still need to bend some Kydex for it.

There’s actually a Mora with a cork handle that’s meant to float. But my (ir)rational fear is getting poked in the eye once I surface and the knife is also on the surface. Doesn’t sound fun.
