Story above

Looks like a promising deal, but myself and others have recieved nothing or partial orders. He is not answering emails or phone calls and has not as of yet responded via Ebay's dispute resolution. I paid by personal ck so as of now I have no recourse other than filing a police report.

Not trying to slander, just warn others. If anyone knows him personally and could offer assistance, it will be appreciated.

have followed the thread and planned to buy, hopefully he has a valid excuse, and makes things right, if not, looks like itll be a no weld for me

Yeah, he's really stuck it to a lot of people. Unfortunately there are several who paid by check and therefore are not covered by eBay/Paypal protection.

There are even recent reports that eBay is finding small reasons to deny the claim and not issue a refund. My guess is they have been refunding a lot of money to people out of their own pocket because Wil withdrew everything from his account.

I sent the Sheriffs Dept. all my info. today. Maybe with law enforcement involved I'll here somthing. I'll let everyone know.

I feel for all that are involved in this. There are several current similiar issues going on where quite a few folks have put down Deposits or Prepaid entirely for machinery, supplies, knives, etc. and then wait weeks or months with nothing being delivered.

There are so many of these types of "Bad Deals" recently that I felt the need to address the issue in the Support Forum. I proposed a BF wide policy of no Member being allowed to Advertise, Take Orders, etc and Require a Deposit or full prepayment. This is just bad for both the Seller and the Buyer in too many ways and though most often the Buyer does receive something (either the goods or their money back) occasionally only after several public pleas for resolution - it's just not right for the Seller to hold their funds hostage and redeem at will.

porter123 - good for you for taking that action!

Hope you'all get resolution.

Talked to Sheriffs Dept. Seems I'm not the only one who has pressed charges.
Anyone else heard anything at all?
