Wild Mushrooms !

OK, since this is Bladeforums, did you guys know that there are specialized knives for mushroom collecting? I bought one for a friend's birthday several years ago. They have an inward-curving blade on one side and a brush on the other. Interestingly enough, at the time the only one I could find on-line was from the Czech republic, although now, searching on "Mushroom Knife" gets me many more hits. For example:

Ragnar sells some Opinel and Mora ones on his site as well. Maybe even some others there that I have not seen. That one looks pretty ornate.

I've seen some Opinel(surprisingly made in stainless) ,and Herbertz of Solingen is similar to yours.I don't have one,I use soft toothbrush.

I think ynrokop would back me up on this ........ most Czech mushroom hunters just carry a standard folder, not one of these special gizmos. You see a lot of Swiss Army knives (and Czech-made SAK clones).

My mom taught me about mushrooms. Searching mushrooms and eating them in the evening is like a family tradition to us.

I totally agree, most of us use SAKs, there is Czech firm with long tradition called Mikov that makes folding and fixed "hunting" knives and pocket folding knives. I mostly use my Wenger NewRanger and dad have one of the smaller Victorinox SAK.
But my F1 can do it also well. :)
