The colour doesn't really show on the pic but I sprayed the whole bike matt black and then sprayed patches of olive drab camo and finished with some camo duct tape which I then lighty sprayed over to subdue slightly !!!

Yeah I know I need new tyres !!!!!

One for the urban jungle
Sorry, sketchbag...but I reposted it with credit to you in Whine and Cheese.

Pitdog...that thing rocks!

You have a chop shop strip that thing down? It looks like half the stolen bikes recoved by our sheriff's office...most of the parts missing! :D I guess it's OK since the parts that matter are still there! -Matt-

sketchbag, LMAO! Get ready, they might make me either send this to W&C, or have you remove the pic. We'll see....LOL! Actually, it'll be the latter so pit's thread doesn't get moved.

Pit, bike looks great. Got a "before" shot?

My first bike I had when I was small had no shocks and going trailing with it was somewhat painful at times..

My first time on a bike with shocks, I bounced off the bike and sprained my ankle.. gooo figure...

Pitdog: that's the perfect kind of bike. Just ride it 'til it won't go anymore. I wouldn't even bother with new tires as long as they hold air.

Shocks are neat if you only go downhill. Most of the time, they're unnecessary, extra weight, complexity, and they waste your energy making the bike go up and down instead of forward.

I've seen those Swiss Army bikes. A great example of a vehicle that's never been battle tested. Bike alone has to weigh at least 60 lbs! A Swiss soldier could probably walk faster carrying that gear than pedal it.

Probably, but with the accuracy of that K-31 he wouldn't have to walk nearly as far as the other guy to engage his target:D

That's for sure. I have one of those surplus guns. It's amazing what even I could hit, shooting offhand with iron sights!

I would say they are nice if you go off road, not just downhill. Ride a bike with and without shocks and tell me what your body thinks afterward. :)

Shocks these days can be locked out, so on a climb you can lock them so you do not bob, then just flip a switch and have suspension again for the downhill or rough parts.

make it singlespeed. If you brake something in the woods its easier to fix,and with less parts, there is less to brake. I have a singlespeed that is my trail bike and it is stuper simple in every way.

A good friend of mine works doing maintenance and fire mitigation in Florida state parks during the winter months. He uses a bicycle to get around on the dirt roads and says it's a great way to spot wildlife.

Yeah surprise the heck out of the wild pigs he does!

Rup' that swiss bike is just the ticket to make it across Central park in nYC these days, what with all the hassles there of late.

That Nishiki (?) has probably never looked better!!!
Pretty low mileage to boot.

I have something for you for sometime in the future if you feel you need a more contemporary bicycle.

Looks good, but I'd get a set of nobbly tires or you'll be in strife if you hit any slippery stuff.
