Wilderness Gathering in Texas

Darbyfett, if everybody else that said they were coming for sure is still coming we will come and get you. I get out of school at 2 o'clock on Fridays so that gives you an idea of when we can be there. The campsites are $25 dollars a night and there is an 8 person and 2 car per campsite limit. We will pay this but I will ask everyone to give me a little money to help.

Crap, I didn't realize it was about time for the meet already. I work the same weekend as the meet. For some reason I thought it was the END of Oct not the beginning.
 
Ok guys why don't we just cancel this and try again next year. Even if don't cancel it I won't be able to come.
 
When the idea of a gathering was evolving I was upset because my sister and brother-in-law were coming down from the midwest to visit next weekend when the campout was planned. Family comes first. I am sorry it did not work out but I hope there will be another planned in the future. I am sure I can learn a lot from the event and meet some good people. :thumbup:
 
I was still planning on coming but I'm OK with waiting till next year. Ike wiped out my "extra" money anyway what with the fence getting blown down and all the tree work I needed done, new chainsaw and whatnot.

I wanted to get a new tent for this trip but had decided to try out a tarp shelter to conserve the cash.

No hard feelings from me in this, I know that the storm changed alot for me and alot of others in and around this area.
 
I was really looking forward to this, sorry I can't make it.

We could try for a Feb/Mar date, nice days and cool nights.
