The leather on the Kephart Fisher is 8-10 ounce American made Veg tanned leather. Double welted on the top so that it rides flat against the belt. It holds up to 1.75 inch belts. Double stitched at the stress points. The H style harness will wear both vertical and horizontal.
The scales on the knife are tiger maple. It will match any other ML knife with Tiger maple and similar knives. If you have a ML Kephart - THIS is the companion knife that Horace Kephart made to accompany it.
I ordered it from ML - never used it - traded it to LMT who is turning it so quickly I cannot think he used it.
