Hi everyone, I have been searching online for this knife. I think it is a KERSHAW brand but I am unable to find the model or even name. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. This knife was my boyfriend's that he lost in his motorcycle accident. I am wanting to buy him the same one as a present, but have no idea where to find one.

Thanks,

Your pic didn't work... might have to ask him what it was and partially ruin the surprise.

Folks here would be happy to help, but you need to try to post a better photo, ideally of the entire knife (both sides would be ideally ideal!) And - be prepared for suggestions for better knives that you can get for the same or similar money (not a bad thing).

It looks like it to me, do a google image search and if you find a similar pic I'm sure someone can help but we need a better idea of the knife itself, handle too would help a lot.

Do you think the round logo on the picture is S&W?? Didn't think to look that brand up!

You might consider NOT replacing that EXACT knife but getting him a better one instead? S&W knives are made in China under very low standards, switching to a Kershaw or Buck or even certain Gerbers within your budget if not a better brand or higher budget might be more appreciated... just sayin'

Thanks guys! I think I have all the information to try and find it or something similar. I believe it was a spring assisted knife.

do you have any better pics?

do you remember what material the handle was made of? plastic, metal
was the handle one color? the pic looks like it might be two toned but that might be the pocket clip im seeing.

did it open with a flipper or was it thumb stud only? was it spring assisted?

the more info you can provide will increase the odds of finding the correct knife.

if you cant find it and you decide to buy him a different one i highly recommend the CRKT shenanigan. It costs less than $30 and is a very smooth flipper. Its what knife i carried until i got into buying high end expensive knives. Its still the one i carry when i go somewhere that i dont want to risk loosing one of my expensive knives and ive given several as gifts to co-works and friends and they all loved them. the blade action is almost as smooth as my $200-500 knives that have ball bearing in the pivot. seriously its that smooth
....well thats the end of my unsolicited advice :-) i blame "happydaddy" for putting the idea in my head

That round logo will be the key. I thought it was an Ontario Rat but their logo is not round. Keep watching this thread, people like a challenge.

nothing i see in google or knife center has that kind of blade. the spine is sinuous but may have been reground from an ordinary clipped point. what really stumps me is the serrated portion. it has a recurve on it. no S&W blade has that (that i've seen, that is.)

the closest i can see is this (SWMP series):

if you grind out the pointy elbow at the clip and reduce the saber curve, hmmm...

Looks like a cheapo S&W.

Do your old man a favor and up the ante; tell us where your pain threshold is vis a vis knife expenditure and recommendations in regards to sourcing a better quality knife will come flooding in.

Best of luck.

It honestly looks most like a Benchmade Rift to me

Some kind of reverse tanto in any case.
