will the 1311 be the best production Busse Kin chopper ever!!!! or at least to date

I think it will be a great chopper and will really shine in clearing lighter stuff. Im so excited to see what else Dan has to offer in the future. With all the ELMAX and now long, thin choppers I think he's got some more great stuff up his sleeve :)

One thing Ive found is that while I generally prefer light and fast, if you want to cut down a full grown tree a heavier blade is best. Ive really learned to let the knife do all the work and swing with my body and not my arm.

I would put it in this order, not including the chuckadee or tactical butter knife ( I think that was the name)
1. MOAB
2. a well profiled NMFBM full convex
3. Killa Zillas
4. FBMLE
5. FFBM
6. CGFBM,SHBM,B11,1311 I think they will be close
7. BWM

The NMFBM and KZ could be argued but I think it depends on the grind profiles and thickness of each.

I think i'm going to sneeze Chuck..Ette'

Everything else is just a knife!!
Yeah, after having the pleasure of holding both the Chuckette and Chuck's one of a kind nuclear MOAB, I would have to agree with that statement!
The Chuckette could just as easily have been called the Highlander... cuz there can be only one! :p

As for attainable blades, I would say MOAB, TTKZ, NMFBM (original .25), FBM LE, 1311, B11 and then everything else is about how it will play out.
Sadly, I don't have a MOAB or NMFBM to compare in a video, but I will compare the ones I have once the 1311 arrives.

Yeah, but the MOAB is still a big ars knife :D

Besides, we all know the Chuckette is just for show, hell, after all these years it still has the coating :D :p

See comment above about coating :D

At least no one is suggesting the Gladius for a candidate as a good chopper.

if you ever need a piece of wood brutally stabbed, the Gladius is your best choice... for chopping, not so much

The tip of the Gladius is really too thick and/or angled wrong to stab wood efficently. Doesn't stick in well (or that's been my experience)

Best designed for soft, flesh like material, or for looking manly hanging up on a wall.

Stop talking about Dave like that. He took his off the wall and sold it :)

i got my order in... hopefully one of these days, i'll get my gladius from the custom shop and to beat a log to death with it, but until then, maybe the 1311 will do ;)

You are hooked brother.
There is no turning back.

Don't feel bad this one is a must have.
I also picked up a 311 for a piggyback, I may even jamb an ESEE accessory pouch on there as well.

i could piggieback my tglb on this one, with my muk on the tglb, then put all of them on my AK47?

that would be AWESOME

Price for Performance.... the 1311 is going to be very hard to beat. Sure there may be better performs, but at what price. Certainly not for $200. It may even replace my current #1 backpacking chopper, the B11. We shall see.

i wanted a B11.... this should handle that urge nicely...

i hope so, cause i'm not buying anymore knives!!! sigh :(

no, but remember, i'm not buying anymore knives....

i mean i had to buy this one... it's 13" long for christssake but after this, i'm done :grumpy:

Of course you are not buying any more knives! NONE of us are buying anymore knives...

We are investing... ;)

Of course it is only natural to 'test' your investment. Some of us 'test' more than others... :D
