Will the Insingo Do This?

Who would win?

The plastic bottle....................Or............

:D:D

Hey, just thought i'd chime in. I do this for my kids too, but I bore through the cap with the awl on my SAK. it makes a perfect straw-sized hole and you can do this when it's not ON the bottle thus avoiding plastic bits in the fluid.

did that in the past, even for other uses rather than to insert the straw (like making 3-4 small holes and spraying soda into drinks)

As if the Insingo isnt pointy?
Best CRK blade profile IMO.

The insingo is almost just as pointy as the 21 profile. If you turn the insingo upside down and look at it, it looks almost just like a 21 blade profile. The swedge on top makes it even pointier.

I'll be uploading a video tonight to explain.

In some tasks standard Sebenza is better and in some others Insingo is better

Please give an example of an everyday task that the insingo is better at.

The *only* thing I can think of would be if you were using it as a rescue blade to cut a seat belt off of somebody stuck in a vehicle, there is less risk of poking the person with that blade shape as opposed to the regular 21 blade. But that's not an every day task, and even if it were, the Insingo isnt exactly the best rescue blade for somebody who needs it as such.

I could see that ^, but only marginally. Give the insingo a 'W' in the category of "exacto" type work.

It wounds like you've already convinced yourself. Almost everyone who has an Insingo has told you much they love it. It's a near wharncliffe/sheepsfoot. It will do detailed tip work, drawing slices, and straight push cuts better. The tip is less acute than the 21. If you already think it won't serve your needs as well, why are you asking?

I carried a regular in BG42 for about five years before switching to an Insingo about a year and a half ago. They both serve my needs just fine, though I've come to prefer the Insingo.

I think it might serve my needs just fine. I'm asking because I don't think the Insingo does anything THAT much better than the regular, which seems to be the case so far, and as others have posted both in this thread and elsewhere, it may have some disadvantages.

My personal opinion and observations lead me to believe that - between the two - you can't go wrong with the regular. With that said, I think I still "need" an Insingo. :D

Hi,

I own several CRK's, started carrying a small regular, then moved onto a large regular, both were great cutters but I had the "need" for another knife do I bought a small Insingo. I occupied my pocket as my edc blade fir around a year and a half where it saw daily use on everything from Christmas toy packaging to food prep, to cutting my finger nails, to making a hasty shelter while hunting because I left my fixed blade at camp. It never left me wanting or feeling like it wasn't right for the job, ever. Not once in that time did I feel like a different blade shape would've served me better.

In the time that I carried that knife I bought SEVERAL more knives, some of which I carried in addition to my Insingo because I had new knife fever, every single knife was quickly put into storage or sold as I found them unable to replace it as my "small edc" knife. Although my experience and opinion are mine and mine alone I have no problem saying that the small insingo that I have is the best small pocke knife-due to the blade shape- that I have ever had the privilege to own and it will never leave my possession for any price.

After that year and a half I decided to go back to a larger carry blade so I moved up to a Tanto Umnumzaan, it's a great knife, and although I love and prefer the look of a Tanto to all other blades I must admit that my beloved Umnum doesn't hold a candle to the Insingo when it comes to usefulness. It does all that I ask of it of course, pretty much any decent knife wil,l but in my experience none of them do it as well as the .

This is just my unbiased opinion, take it for exactly what it cost you.
If you're looking fir a recommendation I'd be happy to tell you to give one a try if you can. There isn't much risk if you're unhappy with it, as you well know my friend you'll be able to sell it for close to what you buy it for if you're not satisfied with how it performs.

Why make a mess of the bottle, could you not just pierce it twice to make a + shape hole and push the straw through? Save you feeding your kids plastic too ;)

great idea, not unusual to see (like in MCDs drinks?)

I don't think his reply was a question...

CrimsonTideShooter, I love and appreciate your videos brother! Looking toward to seeing it!

And I guess the X would have worked better ;) May I add that the plastic was minimal.
