Please let us know if you will be attending the first annual California BushBash!

If you are bringing more than 6 people, please post in this thread a number, so we can get a general head count.

As of today, the tentative location is near hartlandcamp. This post will be changed to reflect final location.

As I said before, I'm going to try like hell to make it. Though, work may keep me from it I don't know what we have going on in May yet. I signed up for just me, but I am going to try and bring the gf (she will be finishing her masters at the end of May so chances are she will not be able to come).
 
I will drive up early in the morning of 5/2, but I have to be back in Visalia by about 3PM.

MtnFolk - to answer your question on the other thread - this is NF land. I have done some shooting there before. That is how I found the spot - I had an overnighter with my scouts at Camp Wortman just down the road, and brought along some guns. I drove up the road a little ways looking for decent places to shoot. Shotgun is fine there. If I can get my son to go, maybe you can have a competition with him, he likes trap and rarely misses (I hit about 85% but he puts me to shame).

It's 5 hours away, but if my schedule cooperates I would like to come.

it's about 5 hours away for us too...:o i would be down to CP, but i have my whole crew...:o

where abouts are you at?? there is a few other BF folks in the bay area... lets see if they chime in..:D

Nick-- is it possible to edit/add CA. somwhere in the thread title??
 
I'm tentatively saying yes +2 for now, but I really don't know if I'll be able to go until we get closer to the date. I'll probably be able to make Bushbash II, but the next couple of months are going to be really busy for my lady and me.
 
I can't make it. I really want to but this is during the last few weeks of school and I'm going to be swamped with work.

I tried, and it seems to show once the thread is opened, but not before you open it?:rolleyes:

I think we should start a carpool thread, maybe a week before BushBash I. That way, everyone who is going to go, should be pretty sure about it, and people can post weather they want to hitch a ride, or offer to drive others.
I'd be down to take someone, but I wouldn't want anyone to make plans based on it, just in case we aren't able to make it.

I'm in the Sacramento area.

Good idea about a carpool thread.

I may just gather a couple of friends and go from there.

I hope that I can go, as this should be a lot of fun and I look forward to learning some new skills and putting faces with names!
 
I am really going to try and make it, I should know for sure in a week or two.
 
Thats a great responce and a great group getting togher. Does anyone have a dutch oven?? I never used one and it would be cool to try it. I would bring some Yucca leavs if someone wants to practice making rope. Maybe i could find some Willow and mulefat for fire drills. Im not realy good at it but i did make fire a few times.
And a bump to the top as well lol

very cool Sasha...:thumbup: i have a dutch oven.. i'll have to take a look and see how clean it is and maybe i'll bring it... i also have some mulefat that i can bring as well..

Tknife and I were talking about maybe organizing a small trade-blanket... for folks to trade knives and gear...:D
 
Sasha, that's a good idea. If I can make it up there, I will bring some local wood as well and maybe we can get some friction fires made.
A trade blanket would definitely be very cool. I have seen some nice trades made at similar gatherings and it's a fun time!
