Only about a month to go! Sending this up from page 6 so we catch people who don't stop by every day.

I can hardly wait. Is anybody going to bring their dogs?

right on Ray... i'm looking forward to meeting you man and i can't wait to check out some more of your knives... can u bring a few extras to sell/trade..:D

i wish we could bring our dog.. ever since we bought our stinky little Rav-4, our big a$$ 100 pound female rot/lab can barely fit in the back, especially if we're bringing any sort of gear...:(

No dogs here but im the last one ever to say no if you bring yours. The bigger the better and the more active the more we shall have with him\her.

Hey mike you can always leave one of the kids with the neighbors to make room for the pup lol...

C Bryant,

If it's OK with you, I think I'll get the hawk maker contact info from you at the May 2 gathering. I don't think I have the ability to message you and I'm reluctant to post my e-mail address (spam concerns).

Thanks!

No worries, that will work. I should be there but if something comes up I will give the info you need to mtnfolk mike to pass along. As long as that is ok with you mike.

One more week to go for BushBash I . It looks like we are going to have atlist 24 Folks show up. That would be awsome. I plan to show up on Friday. Who ever finds the spot first should put something at the turn off to get people attention.. Knowing my self i would get lost. If any of you see a blue VW bus camper with smily FACES in the back do wave. Oh yea im going slow so dont kick dirt when you pass me by.

I have been mapping it out a bit. You can use that Hartland Christian Camp as a base address because it is aparently just down the road from where we will be heading. Only problem is that the address for them listed on their website when put into google maps doesn't come up with an exact match. Something with a city discrepency, Badger and and something else.

Ok, here is the closest I can get at the moment. The discrepency is between Badger, Ca and Eshom. The road that the camp's address is on is Eshom Valley Driver, but on google maps the name of the road leap frogs from Eshom Valley to Pierce Valley Drive. Here is the best way I found to map it, but I think Lambertiana needs to verify for us.

In google maps input the address of Hartland Christian Camp:
57611 Eshom Valley Drive, Badger, CA 93603

When that is done, I get an aproximate address and a "did you mean" address from google. The white box that pops up with the aproximate address has the choice of "search nearby". Click that and type "Christian Camp". A few pop up on the map, it should be choice B. It has the same address as is listed on the Camp's website, but if you zoom in on B it shows the location of the camp (I think). Not sure why google will not find it directly, but this round about way seems to work.

Assuming that this is the Christian Camp's correct location (Lamberiana?), click the "B" and another white box will pop up with the same choices where you clicked "seach nearby". This time click "Get Directions" and use your home address as the starting address and it will map out how to get there.

If you compare the satellite image of the destination it appears to loosely match this virtual tour map of the property, with Eshom Valley Road and some water feature that looks like a stream or something. So I think that this is the Christian Camp....and from here Lambertiana gave us directions in another thread of how to get to our camp from here...if I can find that I will post here later.

I have tried to use John (Lamberiana) GPS corrdinates but they dont match with what seems to be the right area.. Im going to try the NG topo map and check it out on there.
From what i can gleam we should go same way as to the Hartlandcamp except drive pass it. Did i understand it right??? I think it should be easier to find then we make it to be.

If you go to google maps and type in the address, as shown above, it gets you to the correct location. If you continue north from the camp, the site is a little before the Y in the road. You can follow the road in that google map all the way back to 198 (Eshom Valley Rd to Stagecoach, then to Dry Creek Drive, then 216, then 198).

Follow the directions that are in RKSOON's post in the Wss events thread, and you will get there fine.

I will only be able to show up for a while on Saturday morning.

Folks, just how bad or good is the road into the area? I may be able to make a quick trip down but have about zilch for ground clearance under the car.

Ramm9 if you just want to come for a day or so. You could always park the car part way in. It should be about 0.1 miles off the road it self. Thats about 540ft, Should be no problem just walking in.
