See Amy - we share this trick! I can not say how many times I have hidden down there at the in laws - my kids too. Her family is just soooo strange when they start up with the family songs and sing alongs.............. :rolleyes::eek::thumbdn:
 
I'm taking advantage of the down time cause it's not going to last for ever so I'll be hang around some.

I'll be doing most the cooking this year since my mother had her leg amputated. I've already got the cornbread dressing mixed and in the fridge so that leaves the sweet potato casserole (wife) cranberries (some how mom got that done) pecan pie (mom again) deep fry the turkey (a first for me) and since you don't get gravy from deep frying I'll throw some turkey necks, chicken livers and gizzards in the crock pot with chicken broth, salt & pepper then (everybody now) 'make a roue' and Viola gibblet gravy. I may drop by and let you know how it went. Edited to add that dad is fine, he will be watching football.

I am the strange and unlikeable one in my family, I worked hard for that status. So I'm sure I'll be checking in while giving the family some reprieve.:thumbup::D
 
Well, I will be in SLO with my wifes' side of the family for a nationwide hullaballooo of a family reunion. I think I know 1 other person besides my father in law......:yawn:
On a side note.......I am kind of making it back into the Busse scene after battling an injury for the last year......maybe some of you remember me......I didn't make a huge impact when i was here before. It really doesn't matter:)
But, what does, is......

I hope the injury is nothing but a distant memory now.

I think it much more likely that you're the interesting and creative one in your family.

People like that often make the rest of us dullards a little uncomfortable (and a little envious). Please forgive us for our limitations ... and don't worry about giving us 'a reprieve.' :D;)
