This is the forthcoming folder from the collaborative efforts between Ryan Wilson of Wilson Tactical and Darrel Ralph. Blades are D2, handles are titanium. This knife is available in several different versions, this one has the Armor-Tuff green blade coating. Right now, delivery on all folders are slated to begin in mid '02.

Green and black version is $325

Standard model: two tone finished blade (satin flats, ceramic blasted bevels), bead blasted handles. $275 SRP

What are the dimensions? Do you have a pic of the other side?

Dennis - I don't have the dimensions, I'll try to get them from Darrel. Looks to be around 8" OAL.

Great looking knife. I prefer the standard and the carbon fiber inlay. To me they look the best, but all of them look real nice.

These look awsome, really sweet. With good QC and proper edge geometery these look like a real challenge to the Sebenza...

Youre not kidding! The handles look a lot more comfortable.

You guys REALLY need to handle these!!!!! They are awesome. I bought the prototypes and have a g-10 one in hand (pic at my site) I have one other and a carbon fiber that DDR won't let me have till after the bladeshow.... :D anyone interested in a piece of history? if you guys have questions let me know and I will try to help.... Dexter- did not take you long to hook up with DDR after you saw em' on my site did it :D You guys WILL like these..... I had been watching DDR for a while and picked up his line at the Ohio show. I had been waiting to say anything about the new folder but it is a great thing to bring in the new year :D

These are solid knives at good prices!

Hey Darrel... what's with all of this collaboration stuff? Can't you make a knife by yourself anymore?:p :p

Any details as to the manufacturing process? Who is doing what on the knives, that sort of thing.

Hey, it will be nice for Tom Mayo to get a break once the "Wilson/Ralph vs. Sebenza" threads start :p

KillER, but I'm supposed to be done buying folders:(
While we're playing 21 questions....
Scale thickness?
Blade thickness?
Clip position?
Washer material?
Who's gonna have them-Darrel, Wilson, dealers?
C'mon, inquiring minds want to know....

Actually I knew about this project quite some time ago :D Though, first time I've had good pics of the protos!

Esav - yes, integral lock

stjames - from what Darrel told me, Ryan will be doing the "lower end" models and DDR himself will be doing the others. DDR maybe doing the G-10 inlay model but I know for sure he is doing the one with CF inlays. Also as long as I am on the forums, Mayo gets no "break". :D

OwenM - I'll try to get that info for you. I'm not sure who is going to carry these, but you need to contact Ryan or Darrel about ordering. It probably would be safe to say that Wilson dealers (e.g. KnifeArt) will get some of these in.

Here is a shot of a wilson g-10 inlay a leather inlay Large Sebenza and a DDR EDC. Sorry about the scan but I figure you guys might want to see them now. I plan on carrying the wilson/ralph knife along with DDR. I also have another pic at the link at the bottom of my post

Paul -thanks for posting the scan. This helps to put the knife in perspective in terms of overall size. Yup, it's a big folder all right, my kinda knife :) What's the stock thickness of the blade?

This is a proto so it may not be exact- I will try to find out the blade thickness....
