Hi!

Yes, I've searched for "wilson" but threads I got as result were either old or didn't contain any relevance for me.

I would like to know how you expirience these knives, service, e-mail response etc...
There ain't much info about these knives on this forum.
The link to the knives:

Everything seems promising, but how is it IRL?

I'm intersted in Model 5 and Model 8, but I would like to have other measuremets of the blade (length and thickness).
Yesterday I wrote to them, but have not recived any answer yet. I'll wait for answer from them before I write to Wilson again. Meanwhile, I ask you who use those knives...

Thanks,

I don't own one, but some of us at work chipped in and bought the Model 2 (6" blade) for our boss on his birthday last year. He loves it. It seemed well made, and has a good edge. Feels nice in the hand, too; very well-balanced. Unfortunately I have not used it, so I can't comment on its durability. However I would not mind owning one!

I hope this helps a little bit?

Since you asked about "service, e-mail response etc..." this has to go to TGB&U. You can ask about the knives in General Knife Discussion.

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

A friend of mine has the WT cop tool. Its a pretty sweet wee knife/prybar thing :)
Its held up quite well for him and he works in a garage so it does see some pretty tough use.

Looks good. So far, only good things are said about Wilson Tactical Knives.

Hmm...maybe i should wite to them and ask if they can make a knife similar to Model 8, but with different thickness and length of the blade. That shouldn't be a problem, I think...Altering is only about thicknes and length of the blade (in my case)..
Only thing I'm worried about is that I haven't got any answer to my previous mail I wrote to them..

@Haze: All of this in my desperate attempt to find a "CRK Pacific" WITHOUT serrations which CRK refuses to leave off!!:(

They might be backed up in terms of responding to communication after the Blade show. You might want to give it a little more time.

Regarding their knives: I handled a few of their integrals and thought they were well made. The 1/4" stock thickness was too much for my taste, made the knife a good bit heavier than I care for in that style and size range. Also, for the same money it's not hard to find something just as solid with more flair or polish. $400 can get you killer fixed blades from guys like Dozier, Krein, Sibert, Mosier and many others.

Alright, I've sent an e-mail asking if it's possible to make a knife similar to Model 8 but with other measurements of thickness and blade length.
I'd like it 1/4" thick and 6" long. It will serve as allround knife within swedish military forces in different countries and climates. It will cut, stub, chop and dig:eek: (if needed). Thats why I need a strong blade.

However, I have one more question...what is difference between "integral" and standard(?) knives? And IF you order a knive with serrations, are those ALONG the edge or on the spine? Anyone?

Why don't you contact a real custom knifemaker, these forums are a great place to find them, they can make exactly the knife you need for no more than the kind of money you're going to spend with Wilson or any other production outfit of that type.

An integral knife is made of one piece of steel for the blade, bolster, handle and butt, generally with handle slabs inset into a handle frame. Serrations can go on the cutting edge by the ricasso or the tip, or on the back of the blade. It's all how you and the maker agree to do it.

Yes, I'm in contact with Jesper Vox, from VOX-knives....We'll see how much does he want for making a knife.

Just an update...

First of all i want to say that I've sent two e-mails. The first one 6/2 and the second one 6/4 and I got two answers 6/10. It only took 6-8 days :D:thumbup:

First mail was about shipment to Sweden and payment...

The second one:
Hello!
I wonder if it's possible to order a Model 8 but with custom measurements of thickness and blade length?

Thickness: 1/4"
Blade length: 6"

Other preferences:
-Black Micarta
-Bead Blasted
-Kydex sheath
-NO serations

How much would it cost to make a knife like this? Basically I want it to look just like Model 8 but with custom thickness and length of the blade.

The answer to my second e-mail was:
I want to thank you for your interest in our products here at Wilson Tactical.
I regret to inform you that at this time we are not taking custom orders due to our overwhelming back log.

Ok, let's see if we can find a manufacturer with smaller backlog....moving on....
