Win a free Talonite (r) knife

Thanks for the great contest, Tom. I'd like to see a folder with a 3.75" reverse tanto blade(like on a Crawford Point Guard) with carbon fiber or anodized titanium handles and blue anodized aluminum spacing pins like on the new MT LCC.

Again, great contest and opportunity to receive a cool talonite knife. Will be excited to see what design ideas come to fruition.

You could put nacho cheese sauce on it...

How about a folder with a drop point blade either 3 or 3.5 inches, titanium bolsters and liners, and green micarta scales.

I haven't seen a Talonite(r) gents knife yet. How about with a wharncliffe blade, maybe? samuelwereb@yahoo.com

Contest ends midnight, Friday, November 24.

Paul has some pictures of the knife he is doing. It is really beautiful. If you don't want it when you win it then we will give it to someone else.

I just got a really folder from Tom Mayo, that is also beautiful. I think it s pretty close to what some of you are describing.

I really like folder #5 on the site.
Otherwise, a "Gentleman's" folder would be a nice addition to any collection. Thanks for the contest!

Just a note, I have finished Tom Walz's knife except for the thumbstud. I talked my gemstone supplier into making a domed top bead for a thumbstud in "Star Ruby". This stone is beautiful. It refracts a portion of the light back as a white six pointed star that always centers to your line of sight. I have been leaning on him to do this for me ever since I embedded a 15mm cabochon of this stuff in a handle.
I am expecting delivery Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th. I sent pictures to Tom W. with a temporary thumbstud in Onyx and he likes it.

Maybe after I get the Star Ruby, he will let me link pictures here if we all said "Please" real loud!

Great contest!

I would like to win such a fine knife. It seems plenty of suggestions have been made, even illustrated, and the knife is about complete, so I'll save my two cents for another post.

I like Paul's Folder #3, natural wood or line/canvas micarta with a hollow ground satin 3.25" blade out of 1/8" stock, but with a DROP point blade (?).

One of the biggest things now is retro cars; that is, cars that harken back, but are made from new age materials. Let's do the same. Build a hefty, working knife, like the old Rigid line, but everything, bolsters, blade, washers, etc., gets made of today's corrosion resistant materials.--OKG

I think,
3&3/4" blade, integral lock and integral bolsters, inlayed mastodon ivory handle slabs held with SS screws, grooved titanium anodized spacers and dual thumbstuds of same material. Flat ground swept point blade, and machine engraved bolsters. All constructed of SS screws for ease of take down.

I recently had a chance to meet up with Paul while he was in the Cincinnati area for Thanksgiving visiting family.

Just wanted to say if you ever get a chance to work with him on any knife project you have in mind, go for it! After handling a few of his knives in person, I must say they are extremely high quality and you can see the attention to detail he has in all his work.

I know there is no way to tell from a picture online if a knife is good or not. I can assure you that his knives are well worth any amount of money you would pay for one.

Thanks again, Paul. I had a great time. And never forget the "fortune cookie" trick. hehe

Taz,
Hopefully Tom is busy making more Talonite! I think he will anounce the winner after he rolls out some 1/8" stock for us to make some knives from
