Mr. Finney, I have replied to you in a personal message. But, let me respond for others benefits here also

Mr. Finney desires to become a knife maker and one who works on Buck knives. To do so and mention that work he must have a knife makers/service providers membership. You can not talk about making, customizing, etc. services without that membership. You regular forum members should say something to that effect if someone without that special BF membership starts that type of talk.
I call as a good example JAGcustomknives who has posted a few posts back. He is doing the correct activities. You regular members please do not encourage someone to get into BF troubles, even if their knives are nice looking.

Hi, I was browsing the interwebs today, and I could not find a good manual on the proper care of a 2007 buck 110 folding hunters knife. I was specifically wondering about the wood handle. I know how to sharpen and clean the blade, and how to use brasso to polish the brass on the knife, but I did not k ow how to properly care for the wood handle. I want it to have a nice polished look, but I don't want it to be harmed by any chemicals I might put on it. Does anyone have a good recomendation for this? Thanks.

If you post in the Buck forum here you will likely have better luck. Good crew there who I'm sure will help you out.

This really is a good idea for a topic. I kind of like my brass to tarnish but have wondered how to make the wood age better. And one question I have always wondered is when you open a locking knife like a 110 do you let it click open or do you push in the lock and open it and not let it click. Does clicking one open wear the lock down? Someone once told me that it did??

Clicking one open won't hurt it. The lockbar is being pushed straight down into the recess in the blade tang. However, if you try to close the knife before the lockbar is fully out of the locking recess, you can cause the corners of the mating surfaces to wear, which may lead to some blade play.

how water resistant is this dymondwood? after cutting fruits and stuff, where juices get in the blade, am I doing harm by running the entire blade, including the scales, and the pivot under the faucet?

I moved these last few posts from General Buck forum to you experts here in 110 land. Give some advice on the care of 110 scales to GhastHunter, please. 300Bucks

Ballistol.

I fear Ballistol is not a good idea. May be that it is good for the pacca wood, but it affects the brass. It corrodes the surface and makes the brass ugly.

Holy cow, that is a sweet 110, with those green scales. Never really fancied the knife before, being more of a modern folder guy, but that is like comparing Elle McPherson to my missus!
