Winner...And Still Heavyweight Champion...The Venerable Buck 110

More great pictures of a beautiful knife Link2derek. It's good to see someone enjoying a knife as you are obviously enjoying your 110's.

Here's a photo of my 2 dot. Love the knife, but it kinda has an attitude. :D

Some BEAUTIFUL 110's in this thread but I just kinda like my old 3-dot. Its done just about everything a knife can do and is still going strong.

The only problem I have with my 110 is that I carry it so much it tends to wear holes in my jeans pockets! Lol, great knife otherwise.

They are a sweet blade & a great classic.
I have a .110. That was a gift in 1979 from Mom.
I've used it on many deer....both field dressing & butchering.
Still locks up solid with no wiggle & takes a great edge.
I've acquired several other knives since my 110...but it will always be in my collection at the top.
I also bought both my son's 110s back about 8 or 10 yrs ago....so the tradition continues.
Thanks Buck!

I have a quick question about the tang stamps about the 110s shown below:

Mrs Claus gave me this for Christmas

I see there are different tang stamps on each of the 50th Anniversary versions. Why did Buck change the tang stamp? Is that anything that make them more collectible or is one just an earlier run of the version.

BTW: I just ordered one like in link2derek´s pic.

EDIT: My question got answered in a separate thread. No replies on this post is needed.
Thanks for your support, guys!

I've moaned a bit about the finish on the Dymondwood on some of my Bucks recently but my 110 is cherished nonetheless.
A knife enthusiast buddy is always complaining that the "new" Bucks (post 1980) "don't lock up like the old ones," etc...
My 110 is solid as a rock. No blade play anywhere, it looks great and functions admirably every time it's called on.
The snap when it opens is as good as any music.

Cheers to Buck!

I was surfing on evilbay lately and finally pulled the trigger on a Buck 110 FG, made in 1992 with 425M blade steel. And a dark red leather sheath. :D

Hi Haebbie!

Well... the pics... ;) I gonna get some as soon as it has arrived. I just ordered it today so it will arrive during the week, hopefully :D

I´m actually looking forward getting my paws on that one.

Und wo sind die Fottos??

Haebbie

Sir; here are some pics of my new member of the 110 family

With box, sheath, knife (paperwork not pictured, but in my possesion)

and the tang stamp

The knife is new. It has no scratch or whatsoever. Even the factory edge is still there. I gonna give it a reprofiling to my liking the next few days and then it will follow me on my belt. :D

The tang stamps says 1992 - at least according to the date codes listed here....

Here is a way better pic of the 110 and its sheath. I really like that one a lot. I reprofiled the blade to my liking and now it is a close to perfect knife

I thought I may post a couple of my most recent works on the Buck 110 Platform for you to take a look at.

This first one is a Buck 110 50 year with mirror polished blade and Shark Vertibrae cast in what some call corelon.
