WINNER ANNOUNCED... GAW - Who Wants to Have Some Fun?

Congratulations Gev and Barret! You guys hit the jackpot on vintage knives. Awesome GAW Kevin. Thank you for all the fun and your kind generosity.

Congrats to the winners and thanks for the GAW! At first I thought it was pretty complicated because the instructions were so long!

Seeing all of the names that were "guessed" made me realize how reaching our community is and it really humbled me to see the amount of people that I have interacted with on an almost daily basis...

I think you nailed what made this GAW so fun. That and your generosity and enthusiastic hosting, of course!

Thanks for this GAW. I had so much fun following along and trying to come up with names that hadn’t yet been guessed. Congratulations to the winners!

This place never ceases to amaze, uplift and fill one with gratitude ! Kevin, it is an honor to be the caretaker of one of your fine knives :) You have brought me and this cadre of brothers and sisters a lot of joy ever since you landed on the porch ...I am grateful in so many ways :D

May the Universe smile on you and your lovely wife and family

Acts of kindness ( root: kin ) ripple out concentrically from the individual to the group, to community, to world, to universe , to the cosmos and beyond

Thanks, Kevin!!! This was a fun GAW, and I'm excited to get my hands on that Congress!

(I feel like I owe @Ramrodmb a consolation prize; I wouldn't have won if he hadn't given you that 2,000th like!) :D

I originally planned on keeping the "pairs" together (the guesser with the liker) but John and James guessing each other sort of threw a wrench in the works so I had to improvise!

Congrats to the winners and major congrats and thanks Kev for possibly the most confusing, complicated gaw like ever.:D:D:D:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::p
Maybe for my next GAW you can provide a step-by-step procedural guide like you did for the 2018 Traditional Forum knife process! That was one of the highlights of the whole process :D

Well ...it arrived :). I walked down to the mailbox and inside was a box. Now I have received many knife boxes, but this one was heavy . Kevin must be pulling some shenanigans, I was thinking. I made it back to the house and opened the box. Wrapped in bubble wrap was this behemoth slab of ebony and steel ! I took off the bubble wrap and :eek::eek:. I just did not expect this thing to be so big. And talk about beautiful !!!
I have some belt sheaths and it just fits. I tried it in the pocket and would need suspenders...lol
I have never tried this pattern, obviously, and this one is a true gem...wow...I can't get over its magnificence :D

I know this one was hard to let go, Kevin. I am humbled by your generosity !!! Thank you !!

No camera...for the time being. I will work on that :(

Kevin, I am sitting here with the Continental and have a grin ear to ear on my face and a smile in my heart ! I can't wait to photograph it

I agree Gev, the knife is spectacular in every way. Could not have gone to anyone who would appreciate it more than you.

Congrats to the winners! What a fun idea for a give-a-way thread. :)

Bladeforums is a pretty friendly place overall, but the generosity and sense of community in this sub forum in particular is beyond extraordinary.
