WINNER SELECTED --- First GAW in leghog's Quest to Downsize

Thanks, leghog, for the giveaway! This is our Coton de Tulear, Kona Kea, shortly after we got him from Brett (KBA) last year. He just can't get enough of his own reflection in the mirror of the curio cabinet! He is a cute little bugger.

You did give me a Washington Jack. The knife is a a Washington Jack 772215. The blade is etched "Washington Punch Knife".

I was referring to the standard Washington Jack sfo that Charlie did with the spear and pen blade. Im sorry for the confusion. that one is the Washington harness Jack(I had to look it up to verify the name for myself). I just don't find myself using punch knives enough to justify carrying them, plus my Leatherman that I carry everywhere has a punch if I actually needed one.

I love both blades on that knife and the 77 is my favorite frame - so I'm compelled to enter! I also love cocobolo wood. The harness jack is one I've admired for awhile.

My best buddy...

Such a cool giveaway. This sub-forum is full of awesome folks.

Thought I would contribute some random pics of animals I have come across in my wilderness travels.

I came across this little dude whilst mushroom hunting. I was focused on finding lobster mushrooms at the time so the orange of this frog caught my eye pretty quickly despite being covered with ferns and such.

This warty guy was making quite the ruckus outside our hunting camp last year. I actually was impressed at how well the pic turned out considering it was at night, raining, and in the middle of nowhere. It was big too... My wife is not overly fond of the amphibious types so I like to take pics of them when I find them, she is NOT thrilled when I send them to her. :D

This mess of slithery awesomeness was just off a deer trail I was traversing. I had never seen snakes piled up together like that before, I thought it picture worthy.

Wow, I have had a ball going through the Thread Leghog.
I would love to get in on this- being a HJ- but not just that - one of the better HJ's that you can find IMO, but I have too many HJ's and joining in would just be greedy.
Someone is going to be a very lucky person, these HJ's are incredible knives.

Leghog, I was going to comment on your thread before this, about your way of thinking and what you are going to do with your knives, so heres my chance here, my friend...THANK YOU, I enjoy your posts always, I hope with you cutting down ( sorry about the pun) on your knives that you still keep posting here because you slot in extremely well here in Traditionals.
Happy New Year, and again a big thank you and also not an entry.

What a prize!! I am in:)

My daughter took this picture of the cat eating its freshly caught breakfast!

I fondle it because it's such a good knife, but it really needs to be in the hands of one who will actually use it as it is a user.

Eeeuuurhh? is there a difference? fondlage is usage in my book.:D
Awesome generosity leghog.
One to be treasured.
Not an entry.happy new year.

Thank you for the opportunity. An extremely generous GAW and knife I'd be very happy to run through the paces. Great pictures everyone!

The Moose-

I'm in. That harness Jack is a real prize. Lined/rat tailed bolsters. Stamped lower bolsters with the logo. Long pull straight spear....Wood covers......A great combo!

Here is my dog Bernard. We got him as a "rescue" from a family member who had him for the first year.

He is a papered Basket hound. He is a real character. With lots of bad habits picked up early in life....

This was earlier in the year.....When he got in an argument with a hornet's nest.....

That collar only lasted a few days, until he figured it out. Then a bigger hard one, which he also outsmarted.

He had several run ins with stinging yellow friends that summer. No lesson learned. He totaled about 12 stings on that same area on his sensitive nose, and I still catch him trying to eat wasps and hornet's!

First time canoeing. He stayed put in the front like a champ.....But only because the boys were there to keep him in place!

That's the boys in the background playing in the stream. Bernard has shown no inclination to swim at all..... thus the life jacket seems necessary!

I grew up with Basset Hounds.

I remember when I was 12 or 13, Andrew, a two-color Basset too, came in and his whole face was swollen. Snout about three times as big as it was supposed to be. Terrified me. Called Dad at work who rushed home (I think he liked his pets more than his six kids --- they didn't back talk him - well, Andrew did, but that's another story) and got him to the vet. Stuck his nose into a nest or hive. Some emergency Benadryl, and he was back to normal in no time. I loved that dog. Dad got him when my twin brother and I were in 2d grade at primary school, and he died the year after I left home for university. We grew up together.

Bernard does not seem to care that they sting him. No yelping or carrying on, but we can't keep him from scratching the stings on his nose! Some bare patches and scars now. He figured out he could just mosey on over to the picnic bench and scratch away, even with the cone of shame. Or lie on his back! He was a cute devil when he was a baby, though...

My boys are tickled pink, to say the least

And Bernard the basset hound definitely talks back! Quite a bit....

Nice work  Not an entry please, but just wanted to say thanks, and to wish everyone good luck

Slobber monster. :D :D :D
This guy is the worst! My grandson's boxer Woody is a drool factory. They have to bring a towel whenever they bring him anywhere. I've read that boxers have the biggest tongue's of all dogs. I believe it. :D
He's a good boy though. extremely obedient and well behaved.

Not an entry, just wanted to wish good luck to everyone and post a few animal pics. :D

I really like the Proteus, I had the chance to see it live once in the Postojna cave. They're awesome, we call them "human fish" in my language due to their skin colour. They have no eyes since they live deep inside caves where there's no light. A few centuries ago people believed they are dragon babies and would turn in one after 3000 years. They don't live quite that long, although 100 years isn't little either. They can manage up to 10 years without any food.

Black ones exist too, they're very rare and unlike their lighter cousins they still have eyes and pigment.
