Gary I could not say it better but would like to add that this was an incredibly generous of you Leghog. We all know what you could have got for that knife on the exchange but instead choosing to give it away to a fellow Porch dweller was outstanding.

You know what, Chip, you sent me an email about this at sunrise this morning, then went back and forth with me 6 times in VM. That was nearly 14 hours ago now. This was a give-away. Not a contest. The random integer generator did not select you. It really is just as simple as that. I was flabbergasted we even had the conversation. To ease any burden my give-aways may cause you, I simply ask you not to enter any give-away threads I might post here. It will be easier on both of us that way.

It's detracting and distasteful that you brought this up. I will just leave it at that.
 
I'm fine with not being picked, and I knew when I contacted you that I was killing any chances for your giveaway. I contacted you so that you could correct your oversight (not noticing the ineligible entry) and other people who actually adhered to your rules might have a chance. I thought that this subforum of all of them would actually care about rules...I guess I was mistaken.
