Winner, Winner!! Name that Bone! Yep! Another Giveaway! Added Comments!

Ok here are my efforts:

1) Primordial bone:

Primordial:
•(especially of a state or quality) basic and fundamental- because the bone is basic, no frills.
•existing at or from the beginning of time; primeval- the smaller barlow seems like it should be the precursor of the larger- as if it existed at the beginning of time.

And because the primordial bone is begat the soup bone- in the "primordial soup" of course!

2) Lincoln (log) bone

Because the facets and the rough qualities of the bone remind me of the Lincoln logs.

I guess some people just can't limit their post to just a few choices like the guidelines stated.....

I was probably the most egregious offender, apologies. In my defense, I've been running on too little sleep and too much Joe. In the interests of sport, comity, and cutlery, I've culled my thoughts and whittled down my post.

Thank you Charlie for the opportunity. I hope I don't repeat anyone.
1) since it's bone you saved how about
Save RE(savory) saw cut Barlow (savory, salvaged, eco conscious, re use)
2) salvage soup sawcut.

Also as an O.R. Scrub nurse some of these look like missing fracture fragments
Possibly:
3) runaway circular sawcut bone
4) frag bone
5) sawcut fragment bone

6) chip out sawcut
My favorite:

7) remnant rift

I like "Drop Shoulder Sawcut" for that style of scale treatment.

It is descriptive, and evokes a vision, and also has a traditional root.

This is an old Boker "Wiss" TL style knife wth a similar treatment - plastic that is made to look like this style of bone.

Thanks for the opportunity, Mr. C -

I didn't read all of the threads, but here is my name.

GeoBone (Geometric Bone) due to the geometric angles created by the left over cuts. Also Geo- has a nice earthy tone to it. Maybe?

I also like PitchBone (from page 1, not my entry)

For my own contribution: "Give-a-dogga bone" :D

And since we just passed by Earth Day last month and they instituted a new waste diversion process here at work: "Compost Bone" with or without the color modifier: Cranberry, or Black Cherry, as in "Cranberry Compost Bone" or "Black Cherry Compost Bone"

If it's up for vote, 2 that caught my eye already mentioned: paleo-bone and char-bone.

My entries, I think I read them all (and therefore crossed a few off my list)

Gnawcut bone
DogBone
Northcut Bone
