Arrived! My sister emailed me that the knife arrived, and Nathaniel (Nephew) is ecstatic! She said he is a little shy about a picture being posted on 'net, but will try to get one tomorrow. She took a nice pic and emailed it to me of the knife...very nice!

Thanks again to Blues for the generous knife giveaway. The Barlow arrived quite a while back. Sorry about the delay in getting the picture of my daughter with her first knife. I'm a college professor and the first week of the semester is always crazy for me. I managed to catch some wonderful form of upper respiratory infection from my students so week two got away from me as well.

As promised here is a picture of her holding the knife. Notice the short sleeves, sunshine and palm trees (for those of you up north :D).

Augustus, what a beauty! (And I don't mean the knife I sent.) Tell that pretty little lady that I hope she enjoys her little gift. Hope you're on the mend.
 
Thanks Elliott! Now I have to teach her how to use it safely.

I'm feeling just about human again this week. I teach in a computer lab with 25 workstations. Touch a whole room full of keyboards and mice every day and it's hard not to get sick often.
