For the Traditional clan here, and you know who you are ;)
It's been a while since I did an open GAW, and lately I have been feeling like hosting another. Two knives are on the block, please state whether you are interested in one, the other or both please. I really am hoping that these go to someone who may carry and use them. One knife per winner...

The knives:

Case Sodbuster Jr., 2137, it doesn't say SS so I am assuming it is CV...Modified point, blade has been reground by me to a drop point.
This is a great little pocket knife in need of a loving home:)

Lapin Puukko, re-handled by yours truly with elk antler and African blackwood, see the build story in the link below:

Your first post stating I'm in or something similar will be your entry, pics more than welcome, or just tell us about yourself, like maybe, what you would use the Puukko for, fishing? Hiking? Hunting? Your favorite knife, or maybe a favorite person, pet or song. Of course a simple I'm in is fine as well...

I'll pick the winner in a few weeks by some random means, at some random time:)
Thanks for playing!

I have no sodbuster or puukko. I'd love to take a chance on the puukko I sure can use it outdoor, so I'll start this fantastic GAW thread, thanks a lot for the chance to play.

I don't have either as well, but my dad has a Helle Nying and the scandi grind on it is awesome. I'm not to sure what I would use the puukko for, but I would EDC the crap out of that Sodbuster.

Thanks for the chance!

I'd love either. But especially the puko!

It would make a great outdoor knife. I have never had a scandi or a puko.

Hi Duane, I like what you've done to the Soddie, interesting. I remember the dogchew puukko well! :D You have done a lovely job of that. I really enjoy seeing your work, and I am lucky in having the wee fixed-blade you gifted me a while back. I'll let someone else have a crack at these my friend, tempting though they are. Thanks for being such a great member of our community and for doing this giveaway. Good luck to everyone who enters :)

My 'Chef's Special' - You of course being the chef Duane! :)

I have neither type of knife. I would use the Puukko for camping and hiking and the Sod Buster would be a daily carry. I'm in and thank you for the opportunity.

I love Puukkos, but I'm in for both of them since I have neither. Puukkos are probably my favorite knife pattern though. Here's one that I just got that I carry as a utility knife and use as a camp knife.

I'm in! I am pretty new here and have never entered a contest, but I would really like the Puukko. If I won it, I would give it to my wife. She is 100% Finn (US born to Finnish parents) and she loves Puukkos! I'm sure she would put it to good use hiking and camping. We haven't done either for a while, but I am going to retire in June and we want to explore this great state (Montana) we live in. We have lived here 7 years and really not done much exploring.

I'd like to throw an "I'm in" out there for the Puukko. Haven't been able to find my one fixie anywhere(usually lives on the shelf above the sink, girlfriend swears she didn't do anything with it:confused:) and may need to be replaced, this Puukko is pretty comparable. Plus it looks like you did an amazing job on the handle!

I'm in! Would love that Sod buster! Being a mechanic at the Springfield ma police dept, I'm always encountering things that need cutting, opening, ect....my gec charlow is taking a bearing!..haha! Thanks for the chance!!

The puukko is the one for me. It would be a great hiking buddy and/or EDC. Dangler sheaths should be standard issue. They just work. Nice job on the elk horn handle.

You Sodbuster blade mod is nice too. I just gave away mine in the PIF thread on the main page. The junior was just a bit small for my tastes.

Good luck to everyone and thank you for the chance.

Brian

That Soddie is sweet looking, I like what you've done with it!

Not an entry, but very awesome and very generous giveaway!

Jon

I'm in for a chance at the Puuko, you did a beautiful job on that handle! I'd put it to good use hunting. Thanks for doing the giveaway!

Would definitely like to be counted in for the puukko, please. I have plenty of sodbusters and really like them. I keep my full size in my work outside pants and my junior in a bag I often haul misc stuff around in (and therefore never truly knifeless)!

I'm in! That Puuko looks cool, I would use it to clean fish with and as a camping/hiking knife. I also like the looks of the Sod buster much better with your drop point mod! Thanks!

That lovely puukko would make a great present for my brother who is currently without a decent belt knife. Thanks for the chance Duane.

This is very generous of you, especially to give away a knife that you put such beautiful work into. I would love a chance at that Puukko. I have more than a few folders, but I don't have any nice fixed blades. I'd take it hiking, and maybe fishing, if I could get over the idea of getting fish guts on that pretty handle:)

Great knives - I am in! Either of them would be great to whittle away some time sitting by this waterfall in Ricketts Glen.

Not an in,but darn nice knives for a GAW Duane.I especially like the Elk handled Puukko, great job on that one man.
