Congrats to you and KyTurkey as well, and a HUGE thanks to you Crowdog for first posting and getting me off my butt and out there to give it a try!

Thanks again to the Mods, Jeff, and Dale.

I dont know about everyone else but I had a GREAT TIME with this contest.
This was a ton of fun! Thanks Jeff for pushing the limits with this one.

I really enjoyed reading the entries and think the contest was a great idea. One suggestion would be to make it an annual event allowing a full year of entries to accumulate since it can be hard for people to get away for the full 3 days.

Nice job by all the contestants - I had a 3 day trip over Labour Day weekend but I had FAR more than the minimum allowed here as well as three teenage boys along - no fetching firewood for me!!!

The RC-3 was my primary carry knife though...

I also realize that if I never have to survive on a PSK that small again, it will be too soon. I want my pocket kit to have more. I want cordage, I want some sort of food, I want more.

I was rereading this thread, and think that is one of the most important things for someone to take away. There are many, many, kits out there, but are they really what you want to rely on?

Not that my way is the best or the only way, but my EDC could never fit in an Altoids tin. It does however, come along no matter what. A real knife, good firestarters, cordage, lighting, etc. Your comment is my general thinking, and the reason so much comes along with me for the ride everyday.

Congratulations to all the winners.

I know I am new around these parts, but I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this contest. Reading the winners' posts and looking at their pictures was great. From this contest I have a few questions to ask myself. What would I carry? How would do this? Could I even do this?

Congrats the three winners! You all deserve it!
