WINNERS CHOSEN! 5 DAY GIVEAWAY!!! User Challenge!

One of my biggest take aways from all This,is my astonishment that the owners of so many excellent traditional slipjoints are in possession of such a modern contraption as the smartphone, I thought it was a forgone conclusion that traditional slipjoints and flip phones went together like Thanksgiving and turkey. But man was I wrong lol.

You know, I don't want this thread to die.

Went to lunch at a local Mexican food truck. Carne-asada fries on special for Tuesdays. Queenie didn't have breakfast, so she wanted a bite.

As I was leaving home this morning, with a full day of errands ahead of me, the USPS lady came early and guess what? Yep, my Craftsman came with the mail; I opened it, put it in my pocket and headed out. Jon, thanks again for a terrific GAW and for this Craftsman pocketknife. It is just the way I love them, vintage but used just enough to not have to worry about preserving it for a future museum, and with 98% of its life still ahead of it. Great knife, got home at 5:00 pm so in the gloaming and the light is bad, but I’ll get a better picture tomorrow. This Craftsman also fits well with my equally old Craftsman tools (all 40 to 50 years old). OH

Plus a few other nice Craftsman tools. :)

When I was in college I had a job in the Sears Auto Center. Mounting tires, removing and replacing mufflers. tailpipes, shocks and other light mechanical work. The job allowed me to get a decent collection of Craftsman tools that sadly, I lost in a divorce. Your photo makes me think of those days, in a good way.
