WINNERS CHOSEN! 5 DAY GIVEAWAY!!! User Challenge!

Logistics are so messed up. I ordered a flashlight on the 16th, and it's been all over Virginia, then to San Francisco, then Sacramento. We live an hour north of Sacramento, so of course they sent it south to Lodi (yes, like the CCR song). Now it says "In transit to next facility", which will probably be in Idaho or Georgia. 😒
I'm trying hard not to think about that 86, so it'll surprise me when it comes.
Hopefully tomorrow for yours Ken 🤞🏼

Morse code, you must of had electricity, that doesn't sound hard-core,what a few finger blisters.try walking 40 miles in drifting snow and - 50 with the wind chill just to pass a message.
Oh wow you had messages? Back in my day we didnt even have language, we had to walk 50 miles to the next cave and grunt and hit each other with clubs to communicate.

PM me your address and in honor of Jon McD's great giveaway, I will send you this knife:

Congratulations,young man.

Craftsman is a rank and trade in the British Armys REME ( Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) my corp, I think I will have to get one myself one day.

Interesting work, you and I served in similar fields; we called it Service & Recovery in the US Army and that function fell under heavy equipment maintenance in the Ordnance Corps. I spent my first 12 years as an officer in S&R and HEM. Here are some pictures I took when I was Company Commander of a HEM Company during a NATO Exercise in Northern Italy of my Guardsmen recovering a 5000 gallon tanker from a rice paddy in September 1986. Just like in your picture it required multiple wreckers pulling in two directions to right and drag the disabled vehicle out of the muck. I like the CRAFTSMAN name for the S&R job title - fits appropriately. I carried a SAK Huntsman in those days, gave my first one as a gift to an Italian Army Warrant (who allowed me to command his Panther through their post maintenance trail check). Bought a new SAK Huntsman when I got back to Fort Bragg. OH

Great photos, I was a VM (vehicle mechanic) though I often worked with recovery mechanics.

When I was with armoured infantry I did a lot of the APC recovery by myslelf if it wasnt to complicated.

The pocketknife I carried back then (bought at Bragg when I returned from the Exercise) and the pocketknife I am carrying today. You will like that Craftsman you are being gifted by Boattale. OH

Now it’s bah humbug…😅

That is one mashed cab.

Peckerwood's Uncle Gus came in on what I think was an '84 Greyhound today. As soon as he was unpacked, Peckerwood heard how it was going to be now. Pictures later.

Boattale Boattale After following along on your adventures with Peckerwood, I convinced myself that I needed to find one. I had to get a used one, because I couldn’t find a new one in CV or 1095. So, it arrived in the mail today. I’m going to refrain from naming him as long as I can, but it’ll happen as soon as he bites me!😂
