So I recently hit 1K on the post ticker. You guys over here in traditionals are super generous with your time, knowledge and knives, as are many others here on Blade Forums. So, I think its time to pay it forward and show my appreciation for the camaraderie, good times and info I get from here. This is open to anyone here on Bladeforums and I will ship to anywhere in the world. I have a Buck 110 and a Buck 303 that are the giveaways, both have been used lightly but are in great shape and begging to be used, so hopefully you will put these to use. I think I have a sheath for the 110, but I'll have to check. I will use a random number generator for the winners, first winner gets to pick which knife they want, 2nd place gets the left overs:D We'll leave it open for a week, if the post count is low I may extend it a few days. I'm a beer loving man and my favorite beers are usually wheat or Belgium whites, mainly Schlafly Hefeweizen, Blue Moon or Boulevard Wheat but others in there as well. Not required to enter but if you want, tell me what your favorite beer is, if you don't drink then tell me your favorite food. Thanks everyone and good luck!

2nd spot burned. My fav beer is Tannezäpfle Hefeweizen. Great local german beer. Other than that I like Heineken or Tiger. Thanks for the giveaway, I hope I win the Buck 110.

congrats on hitting 1k trevytrev! Right now my taste of choice is Sam Adams octoberfest, there's a place by my house that has it on draft, awesome is all I can say. I'll make sure I post a picture tonight of a beer and blade. Bottoms up bud! Thanks for the chance at a couple of good ones!

Well done on the post count and the decent giveaway. NOT AN ENTRY though as I have these knives thank you!

Like to contribute to the BEER aspect though. The beers I like most come from Belgium, Czech Republic, England, Germany & Slovakia. But I suspect most places are capable of providing interesting local brews too. That's a lot of drink in other words :D:thumbup: But if I HAD to choose one it would be Marston's Extra Strong Pale-Ale

Thanks, Will

Congratz on your 1,000 posts, Trevor! NOT an entry, but I´d like to tell you my favorite beer(s) - It´s gonna be a long list... (I prefer local bavarian beer, for sure :D ) This is a nice and generous gesture.

Wheatbeer (Weissbier)
Kösslarner Weissbier
Kuchlbauer Hefeweissbier
Wolferstetter Export Weizen
Aldersbacher Hefeweizen

regular beer (Helles Bier)
Kapsreiter Märzenbier
Aldersbacher Klosterhell
Weltenburger Barock Dunkel
Breznjak Lager Pivo (czech beer)

Pils
Aldersbacher Freiherren Pils
Kösslarner Pils

There are some other out there, I really like, but they are no faves. This list always finds its ways into my depot. My dad and I like to drink some beer together, with a good pipe or some sniffing tobacco - typical bavarian list, I think :)

Grats to the 1k! I'm slowly working my way up there :)

About this beverage you speak of... I prefer tequila! My favorite food is probably beef tenderloin.

Yum.

Warsteiner or Spaten Oktoberfest

I belong to a good German American Club here in CT

Awesome!

Do shots count??

How's that for GLOW IN THE DARK :D

If not, for the past few years my favorite beer has been the one on the right :)

Just started showing up on draft recently.

Im not entering though, just won a giveaway :)

Thanks for the chance. I don't drink beer, but I drink something close, hard cider. My favorite is Angry Orchard crisp apple hard cider. Used to drink Woodchuck amber cider but the Angry Orchard is far and away better than the Woodchuck.

This is not an entry, as I already have more knives than I can use. Just wanted to say congrats on the 1,000, and ask a question.

Favorite beer, as in just one? Can't make that happen.

I can narrow styles down to Belgain golden ales, Belgain strong dark ales, Belgain dubbels, Belgain quadrupels, Scotch ales, and Imperial stouts (edited to say: and of course Kölsch for a crisp, refreshing beverage). Some of my favorite lighter ales are brewed right here in North Carolina (Asheville, where my son lives, has over a dozen breweries in an around the city), so we usually enjoy them fresh on tap.

Here are a few non-locals we are enjoying right now:

Thanks for the chance!
My favorite beer is either Great Lakes Dortmunder gold or Flying Dog Raging Bit*h

Congratulations on your 1000th post trevytrev. I just passed mine too, so will have to think up something myself.

I LOVE beer and I don't think there's ever been a better time for it, some really fantastic brews being produced. After inflicting the likes of Breaker and Colt 45 on me as a youngster, the US has certainly made up for it these past few years, with some really amazing beers, IPAs in particular. Beer-lovers LOVE them here, just can't say enough good things about them.I like so many it's hard to pick, but I'm going to go with an English ale from the wrong side of The Pennines - Marbles Ginger 6 - produced at the Marbles Brewery in Manchester, on draught for preference, but the bottled stuff is good too. And a mention in dispatches for Sierra Nevada Torpedo, of which I've sunk more than a few! :)

Good luck to everyone.

When I drink I like either Corona with Lime and Salt or Bud Light Lime with Beer Salt, but I prefer Whiskey, Rum, or sometimes Schnapps. Really beautiful knives. My first knife was an old Buck 110. :D And Congrats on your 1000th post!

I was reading all the posts and I dont know half of these beers... I have some drinking to catch up on! :D I just thought I would add that my favorite drinks are actually mixers, which is to me what beer is to you;), I love Jager Bombs and this weird drink called 'Liquid Jane' aka 'Liquid Marijuana'... sounds funky but damn its good, and if the person making it is like my Bartender then its nice and strong. But Im bias because I love Rum. :D

trevytrev, this is not an entry since I've already won my share of giveaways... but my favorite beer is probably Trappistes Rochefort 10.

Thanks, I'm in. I like a dark, mundane sounding Irish beer, so I won't name it here.

This is a great giveaway! I don't currently have a favorite beer, but more of a favorite type. West Coast IPA's (Hop stoopid, Piney the Elder, Hoptologist) have become a favorite and Dessert Ales (Rasputin, DFH Palo Santo) are definitely getting up there after a nice meal.

Wow great giveaway! It's hard to pick one but my go to has always been Delirium Tremens. Had a great Thai beer last night called BeerLao Dark and it was fantastic!

Thanks for the chance.
